Minimum age for being in Porn should be 21 or older...

I have no idea what you're trying to say here... It seems like you're saying that because we can't do a perfect job of preventing impulsive, immature teens from ruining their lives by being in a porno, that we shouldn't even try. ... Yeah, fuck that. ..That's bullshit.

And I DO think the rules should apply to both young men and women and have stated this throughout the thread. But to suggest that recruitment of men 18-21 is as rampant as it is for women is totally belied by the facts.

Did you not read this link?

Open letter from Porn actresses regarding minimum age

And no, not all of the links here on Literotica sufficiently inform the viewer of what they are opening. I enjoy some of the pics in the Regular People and Mom Bodies thread... But some links take you to women of clearly questionable age. Fucking gross. You grown ass men should know you're sexually irrelevant to woman that age and quit fantasizing about them.
Amazing personal attacks..... And an even more amazing job cherrypicking a post. You truly have no recollection of our interaction in your last thread do you? I'm not one who enjoys young people in porn. Said that repeatedly last time and it apparently still can't get processed by your brain, so yeah continue on....

So.... you're uncomfortable because sometime people post things you don't like. Maybe, just maybe, avoid clicking links that might make you uncomfortable. It's actually entirely within your power to NEVER see a naked adult ever again. Adjust your viewing habits. Seems like that might be much easier to accomplish and imposes your predilections on NO OTHER people.

And yup.... I did read the link. So you believe that exploitation of porn actresses will end with a 21 year old age limit? And the fact that the petition in question is hosted by a Christian organization who is really cagey about listing their goals ultimate goals, but talks A LOT about abolition? Also.... when its sponsored by a group with an agenda, its not exactly an open letter, its a lobbying effort.....

How is it some big "Gotcha!" that I don't remember you!? And so what if I've raised this topic before? Twice is nothing compared to the members who are endlessly starting new threads about their Hotwife of Swinging lifestyle. Again, where's the "gotcha!"?

And yes, while I'm personally not a fan of any organized religion, I'm quite aware of the connection between the aforementioned petition and a Christian organization. I don't see how that undermines its relevance. Several of the porn actresses listed are still active in Porn, so it's hardly the case that they are now under the spell of some religious organization.

So, you're really getting this exercised about NOT raising the min age for being in porn from 18 to 21? Why, exactly? ..What if it stops just a few dozen people from making a horrible, life-impacting decision on their 18th birthday that, according to the actresses in the petition, they'll deeply regret having made by the time they turn 21.

Why am I responding to you? Because your solution to not liking something is to make everyone else not do it too. Can you definitively say that no one between the ages of 18 and 21 is capable of making this decision for themselves? If we follow your command you deprive those adults of their ability to make that decision on their own. Adults have to deal with the consequences of their actions and decisions. If these people are adults, why infantilize them and say you don’t get to decide?

Also…. The porn actresses issued not an open letter, but rather a petition on behalf of said Christian organization. Kinda implies a bit more involvement than issuing an open letter on the editorial page. Seems like they decided to align with an anti porn organization with a couple million in the bank. That fact makes it very interesting that there’s no disclaimer any where that they were not compensated for participating. Then we get to the fact that scrolling past the lobbying effort leads to questions about being willing to participate in a law suit. Again, compensation rears its head.

As you’ve pointed out, lit encourages discussion. We are discussing. The content posted by other members is of no importance to the discussion. You are posting unique anti porn threads this is true. You might also want to review your profile. “I support the right to pursue whatever sexual pleasure one desires, without shame or ridicule, so long as it is totally consensual - ie., all participants are of adult age, of clear mind and there is no coercion, or deceit.” And so you want to keep those who can make the decision themselves from being able to.

“Prohibiting consenting adults from either paying for or selling sex is an unjustifiable infringement upon personal freedom.” Except when you decide it isn’t.

Ok, but the research suggests that someone who is 18 is NOT a full fledged adult, at least as it pertains to understanding the long-term impact of decisions. Which would mean they are NOT of clear mind. Sorry you so strongly disagree, but I think the research is pretty clear. Didn't you read the stories of some of the actresses?

Do you know any psychologists or therapists who work with young adults??? If so, ask them for their opinion on this... I'm neither of those myself, but I'm pretty darn sure how they'd answer.
