There are many scumbags and mentally ill people in porn. Some become mentally ill with the exploitation and drug use. I can't recommend any age for starting.

Literotica isn't just a place for people to come for sexual gratification, it's also a place for people to discuss sex-related topics. And a discussion of what should be the minimum age to perform in Porn is certainly a relevant topic. I'm sorry you don't enjoy the discussion. Perhaps you should make haste in leaving it.If somebody owns a dozen guns it's nobodys business but his if an 18 year old wants to get into porn it's still nobodys business maybe you should take care of your own.
lmfao there is a minimum age to be in porn it's 18 and above.Literotica isn't just a place for people to come for sexual gratification, it's also a place for people to discuss sex-related topics. Not what it is, but what it should be. Read my quote in your postlmfao there is a minimum age to be in porn it's 18 and above.
what it should be is your opinion and don't mean much what it is is fact if you really want to change it maybe talk to the people that make the laws. Not what it is, but what it should be. Read my quote in your post![]()
I’m not talking about what everyone else posts… why would I use that as the measuring stick? This is your second attempt at telling the rest of the world that it must do what makes you feel safe. The other thread lasted a couple days but died out pretty quickly. I am curious why you get to be the one that makes the decisions for everyone else?"looked at on an 18 year old by 18 year old basis??" Hmm.. Is that what happens at bars? Are bartenders legally allowed to serve some under-age patrons but not others based on their personal assessment of their maturity?
Of course it isn't. If you're not 21, you're not to be served alcohol.
And it's laughable you accuse me of repetition instead of giving me credit for starting a thread about something other than Hotwifes, Cuckholding, or "Is my 5" penis big enough to please a woman?"
The position was clear enough, I was hoping for insight regarding the logic. You may have a very defensible argument.I don't have an opinion on those who have worked in porn. You've referenced my position on who I would employ, a former porn worker or a gun owner, and I made my position perfectly clear
The logic? I'd trust someone who has sex for me iney over someone who thinks private gun ownership is a good idea. Sex workers aren't known for random slayings of complete strangersThe position was clear enough, I was hoping for insight regarding the logic. You may have a very defensible argument.
Actually this thread has lasted far longer than I expected. And how would raising the minimum age for being in porn make me feel safe? I'm a 60 year-old man. You need to do a better job of explaining yourself. This is your second attempt at telling the rest of the world that it must do what makes you feel safe. Don't you people read the thread?Where do you stop with raising age limits??
Used to be the government said you are an adult at 18. 18 year old's could vote, enlist in the military, buy cigarettes, alcohol, and when then got into trouble went to prison. Not juvenile, big boy prison.
Now 18 year old's can vote, enlist in the military, and go to prison. But can't drink or smoke. They can buy a long gun but can't rent a car.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is if you want to raise the minimum age, raise it for EVERYTHING. Voting, military, smokes, alcohol, prison, etc
Well, if I waited only for women to respond, I'd be waiting forever. 95% of the people on Lit are men, and probably 75% of the people claiming to be women are men, too.Why do I read only men discussing restrictions for women again? Just wondering.
I was hoping for something that separates the gun from the violent person who also uses knives, cars, gasoline,…etc. The logic? I'd trust someone who has sex for me iney over someone who thinks private gun ownership is a good idea. Sex workers aren't known for random slayings of complete strangers
That I can totally buy. They know what they are talking about, thank you.@sister jenny
@ycym
Tired of men suggesting what is appropriate for women? OK, then how about these women?
Open letter from porn actresses regarding minimum age
Then let them bring this into legistlative. Let's hope, the men there will let the women discuss and decide.@sister jenny

I agree, but I wound not intertwine these.. Raising the minimum age to be in Porn should happen even if raising the age to purchase a gun or going to prison is not. We can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. That I can totally buy. They know what they are talking about, thank you.
But you also need to raise the age then for buying guns and going to prison.

So.... be a good man and don't watch porn at all. Because you never know if it is consensual or not. You know, this is independent from any age.Meanwhile, any man who takes an interest in watching barely legal porn should recognize the grotesqueness of his behavior and do some serious soul-searching.
My wife knows I look at porn and is fine with it, in part because she knows I have NO interest in "barely legal" porn or any other kind of porn that embraces violence, misogyny or non-consent. If she caught me looking at that sort of porn she would be deeply saddened and disappointed.
lmao he's not the moral police so he says but thats just what he did fucking hypocrite.Meanwhile, any man who takes an interest in watching barely legal porn should recognize the grotesqueness of his behavior and do some serious soul-searching.

I’m curious where you look at porn. The sites I visit provide at least a clip from the video. Most will even provide clips if you hover over the pic. How are you possibly surprised by the content of things you’ve been able to preview? I mean if all you’re looking at are links someplace it’s one thing, and it’s probably time to peruse sites that give previews, but if you are looking at better sites there shouldn’t be surprises. Hell most video sites allow you to filter what you are looking for. Filtering makes it REALLY difficult to be surprised by content.Meanwhile, any man who takes an interest in watching barely legal porn should recognize the grotesqueness of his behavior and do some serious soul-searching.

I have no idea what you're trying to say here... It seems like you're saying that because we can't do a perfect job of preventing impulsive, immature teens from ruining their lives by being in a porno, that we shouldn't even try. ... Yeah, fuck that. ..That's bullshit. As was explained there, moral absolutes are really hard to come by. It’s hard to get much farther than “generally A is a morally good act”, there so many exceptions though.
