Favorite All Time Fiction Book

Neal Stephenson is on top of my list. 'Cryptonomicon' my favourite Book.

Ben Aaronovitchs ' Rivers of London series is on second place.
Number 3 is 'Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde
A fellow Rivers fan! *waves*

Mine is probably IT by Stephen King. Ask me again tomorrow and it'll probably change.

I get it. Mine’s Huck Finn.
I just reread it after reading James. Kind of wish I'd read it before reading James.
It really is a great book, although I found the last section kind of silly.

So, I should try my own list.

I think the book I most enjoyed reading in my life was probably Catch 22. I seriously doubt it would hold up at my age, but reading it as a 20 year old, well, it just kept me laughing but also was engaging.

And the non-porn book that I masturbated to the most was Portnoy's Complaint. Again, probably because I was young when I read it and had not really read anything with well-written sex scenes before. I particulary remember when his relative, an aunt I think, took him for a massage. I wonder to what extent that contributed to my fetish for massages of that type.

How did this thread come to be revived?

And the book is so much better
Isn't it most of the time? But king never sold the rights of his stories to a Hollywood studio before finishing writing the book. Like Chrichton did with Jurassic park the lost world or Andy Weir with Hail Mary. But there were some really shitty king movie adaptations

What a book! Seeing so many people stop-lossed, there tends to be a grim firmness in how people handle the “raising of the missions.”

It was a major major major major problem!

"The Nice & Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nitt, Witch" (Better known as Good Omens) by Pratchett & Gaiman

"The Number of the Beast..." by Heinlein

First several books of Ringo's Aldenata series (Gust Front, A Hymn Before Battle, When the Devil Dances, Hell's Faire)

Rebecca- Daphne duMaurier is my fav of all time(non smut) book. Altho, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Anne of Green Gables, Wuthering Heights, The Bell Jar, The Great Gatsby are all up there. I have read many smut books so its hard to pick a favorite! Cant think of any that come to mind, I honestly read those for the scenes more so than the plot.
