an ex of mine used to work at lincoln center. his job was basically catering to all the female opera singers. this included where they would eat and stay. one of the perks to this was every restaurant and hotel would beg him for business and the ensuing publicity that would come from it so he would get tons of comps and free weekends in luxury accommodations. as his plus one I got to tag along so i've basically eaten in every "celebrity chef" and/or "undiscovered gem" in the city...and I only had to sleep with one guy to do it! This was a whiles ago~a lot of these places have gone under or are unrecognizable today but that's life in the big city.

PB Deplorables have limited, gov't-dole income. It is difficult to eat at restaurants on said income. So, this thread exists for them as sour grapes.

Myself, I live within an area with a high concentration of resorts. The service industry is the reigning industry here. I know many people who work within it. It's been difficult for them post-COVID, but their survival depends on them adapting, and they're doing that now.

I eat out often, and tip well. I will do so today, too.

Meanwhile, PB Deplorables eat frozen meals in subsidized red-state apartments while they shitpost, alone.
