New Milestones Thread

I finished my book. At a whopping 112k+ words, today, I wrote the final words of Book 1. The final three chapters have not been published (or even submitted) her yet, but they are written. Editing will commence on the final chapter either today, or this weekend.

But seriously....4 months... and I wrote an entire 112k word book. That is huge for me guys.

And...I'd like to believe it's good. I'm getting mostly good reviews/votes thus far... so...

Congratulations. That's a great achievement.
 
For someone who kinda, somewhat, sorta obsesses over the stats, I hadn't realized until last night that I actually have three parts of my main story in the 12-Month Rating List under Novels and Novellas.

This, to me, is a bit of a double-edged sword.

The Good: Red H*, and pretty high ones, too. But none of these have anywhere near enough votes to stay on the list when they tick over into the All-Time age range and that won't be long, now.

The Bad: I broke chapter three into pieces as an experiment to improve their chances only to find out it pretty much ruined the ratings. Then, it proves - to me - the whole Ratings-As-Liking-Only aspect because these scores are absurd. They place ridiculously high when I think they are the weakest parts of the overall chapter, actually. Made worse by the fact that the parts I like the best aren't rated nearly as high and have even fewer votes.

"02 - Friday" I think is the, overall, better of these three listings, but the The Bad was in reference to the broken-up Chapter 3.

As a garnish on this, holy crap! I started this almost a year ago, now!

* - Yes, I know the vote counts are so low that they make the ratings statistically irrelevant.

Personal milestone for me! In less than a day since it was published, my story Two Trade Up, Everyone Goes Down has become my most "favorited" ("hearted") story ever. It is also my first venture into either gangbang or water sports, which are kinks/desires that I do not have at all.

Unfortunately, judging by the comments, not everyone realized that I intended a light, comic tone, like a romcom (you know, the kind of rom com with a gangbang). But hey, most readers are obviously having fun so all's well that ends well.

Also got exactly my 100th follower!

Very proud of myself right now.

Every time a reader decides to follow you, that's an achievement. Someone has read one or more of your stories and enjoyed them enough to look forward to reading more. Just think how amazing that is! Words and images that were in your head, that you put onto the page, are living in someone else's head now, and they want more!

This keeps getting better! Someone apparently posted a link to my story somewhere about an hour ago. I've gotten more comments (mostly negative but there's no such thing as bad publicity lol) in the past hour than any story of mine has ever gotten.

This is the most fun I've had here!
