The one foodie thing that worked for us was twin whipped cream pussies à la Mode. A lot of whipped cream, a dollop of ice cream, and tongues on fire.

That reminds me of the phallic shaped ice packs we used to have. Having my SO switch between one of those and tongue was so fun.

Well, frozen things do induce a little numbness, but then it makes the tongue feel like a friendly little flame.
