Sorry, it was someone else who posted the photo. M16 rifles used in the US military are select fire and use 223/5.56 X 45 ammo so they qualify as assault weapons. You’ll be happy to learn that these cannot be purchased by non-military or non-law enforcement civilians.

I’m just glad you don’t want to ban AR15 style rifles. SCOTUS has pretty much taken that option off the table anyway.

Incorrect. The weapons used in those shootings were already illegal. Furthermore, we did an assault weapons ban. It had essentially no effect, and Congress repealed it within a year.

We have over 20,000 gun laws in this country. 20,001 won't make any difference.

In the 1960s, you could get a gun by mail order from the Sears catalogue. There were more guns per capita then than now. We didn't have mass shootings. Disarming the people won't deter the criminals, who, by definition, don't follow the law.

Well over 90% of mass shootings occur in gun-free zones like schools and shopping malls. The left's solution is to turn the whole country into a gun-free zone, Second Amendment or no Second Amendment.

Also, in cases like Parkland, the cops were ordered to wait outside by teh Democrat sheriff while the murderer went on his rampage.

We need to harden those targets. Single point of entry, security.

Let teachers carry if they want to.

We need to have better mental-health treatment so the loony birds who do these things aren't running around.

Knowing that they are running around, we need to stop the inflammatory rhetoric. It only feeds these people.

And we need to have harsher penalties for these crimes.

I'm sure there are other steps we can take. But the lefties' solution is ALWAYS to trample on our rights.

Actually anything. If we actually followed the 2nd Amendment we'd have no problems with Uncle Joe having mustard gas. I don't have the text in front of me right now. Does it mention an age somewhere? Considering there are twenty million rapists, murderers, and drug dealers in the country (before you count blacks and whites) I think little Suzy should be packing when she goes to the playground. You never know when Epstien might show up in his plane.

I don't think they really meant the National Guard so much as a local militia. It wouldn't be your job it was just something you showed up for on a regular schedule to show you were physically fit, could use your weapon yadd yadda. But yeah.
