I did NOT punch that guy. The entire episode was recorded on six different police bodycams. There isn't the slightest doubt about what went down. I had to watch it all again at the Deposition where I had to testify to “prove up” the bodycam videos so they can use them in court. I watched the shaky videos. I swore on a stack of Bibles to tell the truth. Then I answered a series of mind-numbingly dumb questions:

“Yup, that's me. Yup, that's him. Yup, that's what happened.”

It was last Fall, the day before the Rangers came with heavy equipment and loaded the entire “encampment” from the Quad into a gigantic rock-hauler and trucked it away. Since I am a university professor, I’m “woke “ I have been through the whole DEI indoctrination, TWICE. Once because we all had to. And once again, as punishment, because I mispronouned a guy…um…I mean a girl…how the hell?...oh, never mind.

I was indoctrinated to be “pro resistance” But I didn't think about any of that when I stepped between the demonstrator and the girl. With the back of my left hand I blocked the bat. It was a firm block but it was not a punch. If he had studied TaiBo, he would have had a proper grip and the bat wouldn't have fallen on my head. With my right palm I pushed him away from us. It was not a punch. He fell backwards and his fall knocked the wind out of him. That's why he was on the ground gasping when the cops cuffed him.

So now on campus, I'm the Zionist Ninja who “beat up” a Palestinian Demonstrator. First of all, I am not a Zionist. I’m a Maths professor. Zionism? I don't even have a DOG in THAT fight. And I'm not a Ninja. I'm strong, for a girl. I mean a cis-girl (she, her) because I used to skate a little. And I am not prosecuting the guy. The University is doing that. I refused to press charges but I couldn't refuse a subpoena.

I just want it all to go away so I can get back to my students. Most of them are H1B’s on student visas from the Middle East. I assumed they would all be pro Palestine.

“You mean Hamas?” One of them shook his head when I asked him,“They're all, how you say?… cuckoo…crazy. No one I know wants anything to do with them.”

I tried to get as many of my H1B'S as I could graduated early, last December, before the Great Deportation. I was born in Chicago, so they can't deport me. I’m bi and a woman; that's 2 DEI boxes checked. And they’ll never find another full professor anywhere willing to teach five sections of first-year calculus.

Hillary taught us the utter foolishness of labeling folks whose votes we might need as “Deplorables."‘ I know all that stupid, immature moral preening feels good. I do it too. But actually winning the election would have felt so much better.

Absolutely astonishing how often there are six functioning body cameras when a pro-Palestine protester gets caught committing violence against a supporter of Israeli genocide.

On the other hand, it's equally astonishing how many "malfunctioning" bodycams (or bodycams turned off "by mistake") when a pro-genocide supporter assaults a supporter of free Palestine.

Curious, no?

Almost as if there was some sort of "narrative" being pushed....

The OP makes no sense but honestly, it was TLTR, so I only read snippets.

And the first reply was equally stupid.
Maybe the OP could restate his 'case' in a single, coherent sentence, and maybe we would have a reasonable reason for discussion.

I highly doubt it.

Sure looked like a takedown to me...

I once saw a man try to punch a seagull in flight.
I had to hold myself upright on nearby railings I was laughing so much.
