I had one at 4.78 for several days, maybe a couple of weeks. It was at a perfect 5.0 for 10-15 votes on the first day.

It dropped to 4.68 recently and I really don't know why.

Also my Mothman story is not doing huge numbers view-wise, but it's holding strong at a 4.9 rating two weeks after being published


The non-human category is kind of a weird one because it has a bunch of LONG-running series that permenantly dominate the top-list, but from what I can tell mine is the highest-rated non-series entry for the last 12 months

Congratulations you deserve it. You’re one of the few authors I am constantly checking for new stories and I actively recommend your stories

No one else to share this with. Out of 10 stories, 8 are over 4.5. One is 4.7 but not enough votes. Another is 4.9 when it hit the magic 10 votes. Yea, I know that will drop but it was pretty cool to see for a moment.

Got a blue 'W' after 11 months of writing and learning stuff here. It's not everything, but it's definitely something. I feel like I can give myself a bit more permission to relax and work on improving at my own pace. Plus work a bit harder at my real job

I just submitted my 250th E-book.

As I got closer to the number I kept looking at the ideas I had and trying to come up with something of substance to mark 250. But I've never been great at forcing things and the idea that kept grabbing the muse was a hot wife story so that's what it turned out to be.

I remember when Keith D-under his Srplt ID announced he'd hit that milestone and thinking, goddamn I'm only around 150, I'll burn out long before I get there.

Somehow the train kept rolling. For how much longer none of us ever know the answer to that, but for now....on to 251.

I very much doubt it affects the "similar stories" algorithm, but, yes, at least a handful of readers have told me they found my writing via my comments on others' stories. Wasn't my motivation, but it's certainly a pleasant side effect.
