One of my most cherished memories from our time living in Germany was driving through the Taunus mountains and finding a little apple orchard with a picknick table in this little area. The Germans had no fences, just hedge rows where we lived and maybe an electric fence for the poodles. You could walk across the farms and the farmers would just waive.I'm going shopping for Poodle Apples in a little while.
Poodles love apples.
Did OM have to do time in LitMo?Good coffee memes @B2fromA2looking4U !
Thanks for helping oldermom out while she is going to “finishing school.”(that’s meant in the nicest of ways OM)
Coffeee and coffee memes mean a lot to me!
does it require b2 ammoHome. Napped. Got cats stuck up my ass. Planning to pack to morrow and then leave come Sunday to drive Out West.
Found a SAFN-49 rifle for sale online last night. Decent shape, available, reasonable, discounted, and not in 8mm Mauser but .30-'06 Springfield. It's waiting to ship to my FFL.
Speaking of Lick’ns…They won't let us beat them.
Funny, my mother got to beat me . . . .
I think so. Not 100% sure TBH.Did OM have to do time in LitMo?
Hey Herc.Love my coffee ,great post !
Hope your mom is feeling better soon! One of my most cherished memories from our time living in Germany was driving through the Taunus mountains and finding a little apple orchard with a picknick table in this little area. The Germans had no fences, just hedge rows where we lived and maybe an electric fence for the poodles. You could walk across the farms and the farmers would just waive.
My son was maybe 2, and we grabbed some apples on the ground and walked across the street to look at said poodles. They of course knew the deal and the whole herd came cruising up! Several trips back and forth and some whinnying as we left! Need to look for those pics…
Momma canceled on me yesterday as she didn’t have a good night. Try again today for our lunch date then off to see my uncle who had a stroke and is in a new assisted living facility. Sucks watching family get old.
With the cancelation yesterday, recruited youngest and did a ton of yard work. Cleaned out a shed that was long overdue, found missing tools and bit the bullet and threw away stuff my hoarding ass has kept around. YOU know I’m gonna need something in couple a days I just chucked! Still haven’t managed to get that garage done though…

Thank you so much!I don't. But I do know that stem cells grow into whatever they're needed based on where they're planted. If her dr is recommending this, I would say to go for it. There is very little down side.![]()

Did it work?....hahahaThey won't let us beat them.

Yes ... 30 days... and i think cowboy tooDid OM have to do time in LitMo?
Well, obviously, we're well-balanced and on here from our instilled insatiable drive...Did it work?....hahaha
Ethyl wants to stay with her hoomanPoodles love their apples, and other veggies, too. They are not very picky about quality. I left a bag and a half in the barn when we had a hard freeze. I'd split the frozen ones and they ate them happily. When they thawed, they were mushy. Poodles ate them happily.
Ethyl is bucking to go road tripping. TDK may stay to keep Panther company.
Love to help out. OM is the best.Good coffee memes @B2fromA2looking4U !

ExactlyIn some respects, I hope that this is where my current position leads me. It would get me out of some of the day-to-day politically driven bullshit and let me do what I (think I) do best: teach what I know.
I was fortunate as my staff always listened and rarely made the same mistake. I am sorry your folks are not willing to learn from you. You have the knowledge and they don’t.Stupid mgmt... I am an awful Mgr of people... I dont care to tell grown ass people 9 times the sane thing or listen to all the reasons you can't do your work... it is babysitting
And the whining from educated people...ugh
They were playing at 4 PM today, but I am working at the farm and then we’re headed over to the neighbors. I’ll probably try to watch the last few innings that I’ve recorded.@Wonderer67 - watching the Tigers. Are you doing the same for the Mets.
She sure is. Miss her.Love to help out. OM is the best.
All Kinds of IMs “where are you?” “Will you make the meeting. Fuckin missed the whole meeting.
Everything else went ok, but my attitude was for shit the rest of the day.
Ate life cereal instead.
I resemble that remarkNite.
I am not gonna be able to catch up. So hope everyone’s ok.
same... Car 54 didn't get as much play as the Munsters when I was growing up.i remember reruns of it as a kid, recognise him more from the munsters
I've got about 3 "bend and snap" until my BP starts thinking it's a game... makes grocery shopping interesting with those bottom shelf itemsI don't weed on hands and knees. I do the "bend and snap!"
Best BOGO ever!!That's right! If you want one of us, you have to take BOTH of us!![]()
Could not agree more. This is all good advice, Noor! I always told my patients to medicate when the oain is on the way up. If you catch it when it's at a 6, it's MUCH easier and better for you than trying to medicate when you're at 11.
Studies have shown using pain medication appropriately in the short term is very unlikely to result in addiction.
I talked to her tonight (Thursday) and she sounds great, said she feels good and is probably going home Monday....
Thanks for checking about her!![]()
Lilli- it’s good to see you on the thread.
^^Most underrated postThe trick to Pain Management is to manage it.
Totes adorbs!!
Same - I typically have e types of experiences with pain meds:And I HATE the way pain meds make me feel
If we didn't know you, this would sound like a coded message or very different kind of story... you know, being Lit and all.Going a little slow today before work. Fed my cat!- now off to feed the neighbors cats.
Story of my lifeWish it’d cool off about 5 d
That's what I said, too! Of course I'm being 1 1/2 daysFor anyone in doubt yes @Missk_2022 and @Lilianna23 come as a package. Best two for one deal I ever got![]()
Sounds delightful - hope you had a great time.I'm going to be spending some time on the boat with my daughter and drinking cold adult beverages on the shore.
Yep - that's the one!!
Have never been a bit sun and warm temp person but the older I get the less tolerant I am, too. My body loves 72-74F... but for out and about? Low 60s and lots of available shade. The cooler weather has been nice. I’ve always loved warmer weather but now that I am old I have less tolerance for it.
Today was only 67. Monday was 101.
Sounds delightful!! Safe travels when you head out, @Wat_TylerHome. Napped. Got cats stuck up my ass. Planning to pack to morrow and then leave come Sunday to drive Out West.
Our review process shifted to that model about 15-20 years ago. There's a required "Self-Evaluation" that the employee has to fill out. Same questions and criteria as the manager's review. So other than the manager seasoning the Self-Eval with comments from co-workers, what you write is what you get - unless your manager doesn't like you.Ugh! My director would always basically print out what I sent to her as my review.![]()
Did you lift with your knees??I even lifted the 20 lb sack of dirt!
IMO, the bossy nurses are the bestExactly! I'm glad you followed instructions. Us nursepersons can be very bossy!![]()
Hmm... very funny the first few times? Like the commercial? When the Mikey commercial was first airing I had a roomie named Mike. He took on the character of Mikey. Very funny
I know the feeling... and I was just away for a single dayWow!
3 days gone and I don't know if I'll ever catch up!
Ours are directly related to our pay.Reviews don't mean shit... they are a popularity measure.... and i learn in June or July about something I did in November and get a review about it...stupid
And they dont affect my raise so what is yhe point
Agreed. Current manager says he's available when we need him. Kind of true - he's busy and away a lot. But otherwise no feedback from him until review time. What’s supposed to happen is that managers are supposed to bake regular feedback, insights, and career discussion into every day discussions.
Sounds "on brand" for the type of management I've mostly experienced so far. Because the good managers that really help you grow as an employee? They don't stay managers for long. At least not where I work - maybe at their new job??Poor management leaves issues or concerns to the annual review like it’s an excuse to not give a better review. When I was supervising, I always addressed issues or concerns immediately and asked “how can I help”?
Of course upper management didn’t like my way so I became more the in house “expert “ without any support staff. Stupid management.
Sounds like great progress except for the knee. Glad you're following up on it.Good morning all. Today I am off pain meds and doing stretches for my back and glutes (tendons). So far it’s good. I may need PT for my knees as there is pain when I do squats. I see the doctor in a few weeks.
That's my kind of party!!Had all the cats on the computer table last night.
It even is catching on that I almost never and talking about ducks or ducking, so there's that, too.
I think I may be part poodleI'm going shopping for Poodle Apples in a little while.
Poodles love apples.
They were adorable together.
This was so my morning today!!The last one I could not resist to post!

I wish you every success with that endeavor!!In some respects, I hope that this is where my current position leads me. It would get me out of some of the day-to-day politically driven bullshit and let me do what I (think I) do best: teach what I know.
Kindred spirits... also... what's the score now??Cleaned out a shed that was long overdue, found missing tools and bit the bullet and threw away stuff my hoarding ass has kept around. YOU know I’m gonna need something in couple a days I just chucked! Still haven’t managed to get that garage done though…
Sorry about the new med... and the weeds mocking you.Lazy morning, rolling out of bet late. Then a long workout. These new meds are messing with my sleep. They're making me want to sleep all the time!
Today's first task is thelawnweeds need mowing. Being as all those weed flowers are the sexual organs of plants, I'm taking it as a rude gesture that they're flashing them at me!
