The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I wish AI was available when I was working! We were supposed to have SMART goals and be evaluated on them. Reviews were a PITA to write! 😤
Reviews don't mean shit... they are a popularity measure.... and i learn in June or July about something I did in November and get a review about it...stupid

And they dont affect my raise so what is yhe point

Cucumber Feta Bean Salad

* 2 English cucumbers - round slices then quartered
* 1 can garbanzo beans (aka chickpeas)
* 1 can kidney beans
* 1 can black beans
* 8-12 ounces Feta cheese
* 2 cups frozen sweet corn - fresh if in season
* Cracked black pepper - to taste
* Juice of 1 lemon
* Garlic 2-3 cloves, minced
* @ 1/3 cup olive oil (add half, reserve the rest)
* 2 tbs dried spearmint (for fresh, use about half, let sit, add more later if needed. fresh is a lot stronger - esp. over time)

This recipe has no added salt. For me, the Feta cheese has enough salt to carry the salad.

Mix everything and chill for 1 hour minimum
Mix again, taste and adjust seasoning if needed

I used the beans I had on hand. If they're in my cupboard, I like them. Use whichever ones you like.

I would suggest using less oil at the start & letting everything chill together for a couple hours in the fridge. Then mix, taste, and tweak if needed.

I cut the feta into bite sized cubes

I cut the cukes into 1/2 inch thick rounds then quartered those. I left the skin on b/c I think the skin of the English cubes is less bitter. I also use the English ones since they have fewer seeds. Use the cukes you like & cut them how you like.
Sounds delicious

Our company stopped doing reviews about 7-8 years ago. There’s a bonus and raise process (doesn’t always happen) but it’s all behind the scenes.

I don’t miss writing that shit.

What’s supposed to happen is that managers are supposed to bake regular feedback, insights, and career discussion into every day discussions.

Some are better at it than others.

Still don’t miss writing that shit - cuz missk’s right. It dont amount o a hill of shit.

Poor management leaves issues or concerns to the annual review like it’s an excuse to not give a better review. When I was supervising, I always addressed issues or concerns immediately and asked “how can I help”?

Of course upper management didn’t like my way so I became more the in house “expert “ without any support staff. Stupid management.

Your company at least is trying to do it right.

Good morning all. Today I am off pain meds and doing stretches for my back and glutes (tendons). So far it’s good. I may need PT for my knees as there is pain when I do squats. I see the doctor in a few weeks.

More weekend coffee memes to start your weekend. May it bring you the rest you need. IMG_1190.jpeg

That’s awesome weapon.

My friend has one in 8mm Mauser. We had a three round slam fire with it last year! I don’t think my friend loaded the magazine properly.

Great pickup.

I'm happy that it's thirty aught six. That is way up in my wheelhouse shooting stock. I kinda buried the 8mm.

They said the mag is kinda wonky. Okay, kinda fucked up. Google found me a couple of surplus ones for not half bad, so I bought two of them and they're on the way, too.

Had all the cats on the computer table last night.

I haven't effed with it, but my initial response is, I write better than it does. I type fer shit and don't seem to have improved much in spite of. I have discovered talk-to-text, and since my writing style is very similar to my spoken words, and since my latest batch of devices has gotten better at understanding me, I can just belt this shit out by chatting to my iPad. Of course, there are a few corrections to make, but I would have those with the fumble-finger method, too.

It even is catching on that I almost never and talking about ducks or ducking, so there's that, too.

🤣 :nana:

Exactly! I'm glad you followed instructions. Us nursepersons can be very bossy! 🤭🤭

I liked her especially. She may have reminded me of Someone.

I was kinda wasted and on a roll, so I kept them laughing. They tended to hang around and make sure I had what I needed and was where I should be. Only thingie was when my IV thingie slipped outta the vessel in my hand. That hurt like a bitch, but it was also at 0347, so there's that.

The Nurseperson Call worked.

In some respects, I hope that this is where my current position leads me. It would get me out of some of the day-to-day politically driven bullshit and let me do what I (think I) do best: teach what I know.
