I submitted an entry once, years ago, that had straight fives through about 20-25 votes. I was pretty gobsmacked, but I think it ended up around 4.72 or so.

Don't stress too much about the scores: they will go up and down, and then up again during the sweeps at the end of the contest. As I said in my comment, it's really nicely written for a debut.

Thank you! I would probably be happier if the first 25 votes had been lower and the score had improved after that. This way it feels more disappointing.

The time delay in responding to comments keeps discouraging me from doing it as often as I should.

And listen to @Actingup -- he was a good support for me in my early days, which I still appreciate. (Said nostalgically from my entire expansive writing career now entering its fifth month .)

After two weeks and well over 100 votes, two of my last four votes have been 2's. Not 1's, 2's. I suspect someone is trying to subvert the sweeps, hoping they only look at 1's.

I’m pleased that https://literotica.com/s/fraternity-pledge-opens-up seems to be doing well. Lots of views and good scores (for my stories). After 15 hours I’ve got 4.53 / 32 votes, 4 favorites and 4.1k views. Very happy so far.

I’m still hoping that one of my stories will break above 4.8. Naked With My Sister is at 4.78, so I’m hopeful. With 1078 votes, I’m not expecting sweeps will make much of a change.

The other bright spot for me is that I’ve picked up 85 new followers.

Wow that is awesome, both vote count and followers. Before this most recent bombing, The Important Days was tied for my best rated story, but it only got me like five or six followers. Fewer than my other recent stories have, that are more poorly rated.

By my math, if a sweep scrubs the 1 and the two 2's I know I have gotten, my story goes up to a 4.90. Which would edge out my current best rating.
