Nude Day 2025 Contest Thread

Premature thought about the 2026 contest.

The rules say, "All submissions must be stand-alone stories created for this contest theme."

Do you think that reusing a couple of characters from my 2025 story, one arguably the FMC, in a different setting, would break this?
I did for this one... I used Jessa from my Loving Wives series in a stand alone I Should Have Taken A Personal Day

My understanding is that the story must be complete on its own. You can reuse characters, as long as it’s not a part 2 (or 3, 4, 5, etc). If the story makes sense by itself, you’re good.

Will the reader need to have read your 2025 story? If not, then probably not. But I’m not in charge of anything.

Nope. I do that literally all the time.

"Stand-alone" doesn't necessarily preclude a story being a sequel, but it's easy here to re-use the same characters in multiple stories that truly do stand alone. Think of the Hornblower books: with rare exceptions, you could read any of them and have a self-contained story without reading any of the ones set before or the ones set after. I would say that, even though Forester wrote "a series" of Hornblower books, any of the volumes could have made their way into a Lit contest and been accepted.

Well. If there were more sex, anyway.

I've used the same character names in my entries, with similar back stories, but no direct connections.

I have ideas for sequels to both, but I won't submit them until after the contest is over.

I just finished writing "Full Moon Mischief"! It's nearly 3000 words, although I might add some more details when I go through it again tomorrow. Hopefully I can submit it before the weekend!

Would it count as Nude if it was a story about a werewolf during a full moon?

It could be like American Werewolf in London, where he comes out of it naked somewhere.

I'm currently writing a werewolf story for Halloween, and the very next thing I have to write is the first meeting of the FMC and the MMC as a wolf. She'll assume he's wearing a costume, natch, and will be very puzzled by the fact that he's in a loincloth or some ripped pants a' la Hulk.

She'll assume it's an anatomically correct costume. I plan for her internal monologue to be dryly humorous.

This will be my first contest, how does the voting work?

The stories that win are the three which, at the end of the contest, have the highest average on a 5-point scale. Winners typically have over about 4.87 or so, but you never know the "winning scores."

The caveats are legion, and designed to prevent writers and their entourages from gaming the votes:
a. We don't know precisely when the totals are tallied.
b. There are periodic "sweeps" that purport to remove suspicious votes.
c. No ordered list is maintained, other than the ones some writers construct and maintain for themselves.
d. The "winners" tend to be bombed almost immediately, such that within a half-hour of the announcement, the "winners" will actually have lower averages than many of the other stories.

The end result is that stories that appear to be out of the running often vault ahead at the last second in a way that some find suspicious. But realistically, if you plan on being "competitive," your story should be over 4.85 or so going into the last night of the competition.

Most of us don't really expect to win. Lol. It happens, and it's nice when it does, but the process is so opaque you probably shouldn't put much stock in it.

The last contest... and to be fair, this one as well, I didn't and don't expect that I will win. Still, I'm testing my mettle, challenging myself to get better, and for the most part, I think I have. But most of all, I really enjoy writing the character that I have in my story for this contest. And probably not a lot of people love the character as much as I, but she's gonna hang around a while if I have my way of it.

I noticed, was wondering when she took him home but was wearing a ring if it was maybe a female partner, and thought 'yay, was right' when the voice was female but not Heidi in the doorway.... :)..... but i liked the 'did that thing with her pussy' part even better..... lots mention squirting but very few mention pompoir, at least that i've seen in stories... (y)
I didn't know there was a word for it, but I've included it a few times.

Think the word is old and not used maybe as much now. It was considered a rare skill way back that only one in a hundred ancient 'sex workers' knew how to do.... could double even triple the price for someone with the skill... lol.....;) I guess with the new Kegels exercise they have women doing nowadays most can do it a bit and it might be a lot more common.... (y)

Still it is why i use to tell guys 'i am a squeezer not a squirter'..... lol...... 🤭
