Hey, now, I tried to let this Spitefire person down gently before all the butt stuff happened!Thank you for doing what none of us longtimers have bothered to do.
Instead we reverted to toilet humour. I'd feel a flush of embarrassemt if I wasn't so pooped.
(But seriously, well done. We should have been kinder to the OP. @Spitfires I for one apologise for not addressing your request more seriously before driving it off the rails.)

Then clearly, she's the one who gets the 'courtesy' head. It's probably his Mom's car.

Here is the logic or NON-LOGIC of what you are asking. You want to hire, basically for nothing an author to write a story using your ideas and characters. You have not given any real idea other than than.
What I'd suggest is you contact directly an author whose stories you like. In the genre you are thinking about. Talk to him/her about stories in general and his in particular and see if he is willing to do a collaboration.
This being Lit, yes. Also in his lap.Is his mom in the car too because that’s another forum
That's what I meant by hire for nothing. He's explicitly NOT looking to hire.

Why are you such an ass you would deny somebody help? I have at least two authors (presently) that contacted me in exactly that manner. They had ideas for a story. Had no idea how to begin.fgs no
Free request: While I can't offer monetary compensation, I'm happy to provide feedback or help promote your work on platforms where appropriate, if that helps!
Invite them to contact you, then. Don’t invite them into other people’s DMs with these requests. THAT’S what’s asinine. Why are you such an ass you would deny somebody help? Hi everyone, I hope you all are doing well.
I am reaching out because I'm looking for a writer who would be interested in crafting a custom erotic story based on a few character names and ideas that I will provide. I'm open to a variety of themes and settings, but I'm particularly looking for someone who is willing to create something unique based on my concept.
What I'm looking for:
Story length: medium length story (around 4000-5000 words), but flexible
Content: I have specific character names, a rough plot and themes (which I will provide once I connect with the author)
Tone: I'm open to a variety of tones and genres (romantic, sensual, intense)
Free request: While I can't offer monetary compensation, I'm happy to provide feedback or help promote your work on platforms where appropriate, if that helps! If you're new to writing erotica or just want to practice and have fun, this could be a good opportunity to flex your creative muscles.
What I'll provide:
Character names and descriptions
Relationship between a few characters
Some themes and kinks
If you are interested, pls reply or send me a private message with a bit about your writing style and experience. If you have any questions, pls feel free to ask!
Looking forward to hearing from the amazing community of writers at Literotica! Thanks in advance for considering my request and happy writing to all!
Best regards,
Spitfires
To attempt to answer your question and also explain some of the reaction…
You have misread the room to a degree that makes me almost think it’s intentional trolling. But I will give you the benefit of the doubt.
I’ve been writing a few years and I think you are misunderstanding a few things. First about writers:
Why would anyone drop all that and jump on your suggestion? Which gets me to the second set of misconceptions, which are about your ideas. I’ll be blunt:
- Most writers have a work in progress folder full of things they want the time to finish
- They probably have a list of ideas jotted down somewhere too
- They are probably in the middle of writing one or more stories which they find compelling and can’t devote enough time to
- Many of us are also helping other writers by beta reading or editing or proof reading their stuff
- We are busy
- It’s highly doubtful that your plot ideas and characters are very good - it takes lots of experience to come up with good plots and convincing characters
- But maybe I’m wrong and you have a one in a million idea, but it’s just an idea
- Turning your ideas into even a short story takes time and effort, why would anyone do that?
- If your ideas aren’t compelling enough to you for you to put in the time to write them, why would anyone else?
Well if someone actually wanted to write their own, there'd be a stack of suggestions, such as find a story you like and use that as the basis for your own. Or go take creative writing classes. Or do what the rest of us do, start writing, and invest 10 years in getting to where you're okay. Why are you such an ass you would deny somebody help? I have at least two authors (presently) that contacted me in exactly that manner. They had ideas for a story. Had no idea how to begin.

I think the disconnect with these kinds of things is that non-writers think that the idea is the hard part.
Ideas are easy, turning them into a good story is hard.
Oh yeah, 100%. I have a spreadsheet of story ideas begging and pleading for me to write them, and there's just not enough time to 10% of them. It's no joke...I get ya.I'm only partly joking when I say that I write as a way to get rid of excess ideas so I can get some peace and quiet.
