Israel/Hamas PB Tribal Fight

Israel has citizens of all religions. Your one state solution already exists and its name is Israel.
No. Israel is an apartheid state, and the "nation state" law of a few years ago said that Jews are the only real citizens of Israel. That just confirmed what has long been the reality.

The UN is just annoyed that Israel prevented Hamas from stealing the aid to sell it back to the Gazans.

This ^.

I recently watched a PBS NewsHour segment where a "Palestinian" woman was being interviewed, and she said (paraphrasing) “I can’t afford to BUY food for my five children”.

That ^ immediately caused me to ask myself: “Why the fuck does that woman have to BUY food that is being delivered as HUMANITARIAN AID?!?!”

🤔

😑

🤬

We. Told. Them. So.

🌷

As evidence mounts that the original Hamas claims were false, their new ones get more and more outlandish. Now they’re saying the Israelis have killed “over 100” people at a food distribution center.
That really happened. It doesn't come from Hamas.

Your article doesn't provide any evidence. Only quotes from "officials in Gaza". That's Hamas. The point of spreading these falsehoods is two-fold: to make Gazans afraid to take aid directly from Israel, increasing the stranglehold Hamas has on the territory. And to blacken the reputation of Israel in the west.

I would say another goal is to re-establish the corrupt UN aid regime that was allowing weapons, etc, to be smuggled into Gaza inside aid deliveries.

Discrediting the recently developed aid infrastructure / regime seems to be THE PRIMARY goal of Hamas AND the old UN aid delivery regime (imho).

🤬

How the media manufactured a “genocide”

A nice analysis of how the international media spread the “genocide” slur against Israel by comparing their coverage of the Gaza war with their coverage of recent actual genocides in Rwanda and Darfur.

The article’s frequent referencing of “The Great Awokening” indicated a severe bias which watered down the message (and it was off-putting).

👎

The article ITSELF was a conscious attempt to appeal to emotions and bias (right wing). It was basically guilty of what it was accusing others of doing,

👎

The math was also skewed by the wide variations in times of some of the previous ACTUAL genocides cited and the media environment present at those times. (Yes, there ARE going to be a fuckton more mentions of genocide NOW, in the MODERN media-sphere, as opposed to, say, during the ACTUAL genocide in Rwanda, etc, but a lot of that can be attributed to the current media environment, imho).

👎

I would say, apples to apples, Israel IS getting undue attention and criticism compared to other ACTUAL genocidal events that are CURRENTLY unfolding.

THAT ^ is what the article SHOULD HAVE focused on.

👍

The article’s "message" was less than persuasive as presented.

I hear Greta's amphibious landing failed.
Gaza-bound aid boat with Greta Thunberg on board arrives in Israel after its seizure

JERUSALEM (AP) — A Gaza-bound aid boat carrying Greta Thunberg and other activists arrived at an Israeli port Monday after Israeli forces stopped and detained them — enforcing a longstanding blockade of the Palestinian territory that has been tightened during the Israel-Hamas war.

The boat, accompanied by Israel’s navy, arrived in Ashdod in the evening, according to Israel’s Foreign Ministry. It published a photo on social media of Thunberg after disembarking.

The 12 activists were undergoing medical checks to ensure they are in good health, the ministry said. They were expected to be held at a detention facility in Ramle before being deported, according to Adalah, a legal rights group representing them.

The activists had set out to protest Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, which is among the deadliest and most destructive since World War II, and its restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid. Both have put the territory of around 2 million Palestinians at risk of famine.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition, which organized the voyage, said the activists were “kidnapped by Israeli forces” while trying to deliver desperately needed aid.

“The ship was unlawfully boarded, its unarmed civilian crew abducted and its life-saving cargo — including baby formula, food and medical supplies — confiscated,” it said in a statement.

No one cares or trusts the USA to lead any more.. the Trump Administration is trying to throw Ukraine under the bus and order Europe around after telling them to fuck off...

The USA cannot roll what they have done back now and demand that these countries do not do something we dont want them to do.. The Trump Administration demanded europe stand up for itself... and, well, they are.

This is what you got, so now, Rubio, you fucking deal with it.

YOU caused this.. Europe is no longer a friend. It is a competitor now and they will make their own decisions. the USA is on our own.. great job

Way back on June 4th, a scant 8 days ago, you lectured us to disregard any and all information coming from "Gazan authorities", because they're all HAMAS .

And yet here you are, doing the EXACT same thing you criticized the rest of us for doing, quoting Gazan (aka
HAMAS) authorities.

Care to share the abrupt change in position?
The information is coming from the humanitarian organization whose workers were killed. Hamas wants to choke off all aid to the Gazans so they can maintain their stranglehold on the territory.

Nope, if it was HAMAS eight days ago, then its HAMAS today. You can't have it both ways.

Previously Hamas said they had “full authority and mandate to strike decisively against any entity or individual collaborating with the enemy’s plans or with any rogue, criminal, or traitorous elements that violate the law and the traditions of our people.”

So if I understand you correctly, any news from "Gazan authorities" that promote the Israeli narrative are to be accepted as "legitimate" without any further discussion, but any news from "Gazan authorities" that do NOT promote the Israeli narrative are to be dismissed out of hand as "HAMAS propaganda"?

This smacks of "special pleading" to me.

And they do.
