The Department Of Education Could Be Next

Stupidity is funny.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon thinks AI (artificial intelligence) is A1 (steak sauce). 😆

Text version of her for her display of incompetence.

"Linda McMahon proved again today how unqualified, unprepared, and ill-suited she is to run the Department of Education. In a Senate hearing, she could not answer basic questions about civil rights history, stumbling over references to the Tulsa race massacre and Ruby Bridges, saying, “I’d like to look into it more,” and “If you have specific examples—,” even after being given clear examples. When asked if she had read Ruby Bridges’ memoir, she admitted, “I haven’t read it,” revealing a shocking lack of understanding about the history she is supposed to help students learn.

Her lack of preparation was even more obvious when the ever “brilliant” Senator Markwayne Mullin asked, “What was we ranked nationally in math and reading in 1979?” (yes he said that verbatim and he said it twice!) McMahon replied, “We were very, very low on the totem pole.” Mullin had to correct her, saying, “We were number one in 1979,” while today, the U.S. is ranked 36th in reading and 28th in math. McMahon’s inability to answer even softball questions about education outcomes, along with her confusion about budget numbers, left both Democrats and Republicans shaking their heads.

Despite all this, McMahon is pushing a budget that cuts billions from public schools to hand tax breaks to billionaires, gutting support for low-income and disabled students. It is hard to ignore that her main career was running World Wrestling Entertainment, not working in education. Just weeks ago, she became a viral punchline for repeatedly calling artificial intelligence “A1” like the steak sauce, saying, “Let’s see A1 and how can that be helpful.” With every answer, McMahon makes it painfully clear she is out of her depth and a real threat to public education. It is growing increasingly obvious that every one of Trump’s cabinet members is there to sabotage the very agency they are supposed to lead."

🙅🏽‍♂️

Bro why is this uniformed person leading the education department?

There have been many massacres, before during and after the Native American genocide. Any spot in America that never had a massacre probably never had people. We need less emphasis on instant recall of random details and more focus on how to think, since so many people can't, as the PB thoroughly demonstrates.

Those who don’t learn history are doomed to repeat it.

It wouldn't be hard to say that the Tulsa Race Massacre was a bad thing and should be remembered for that, unless you thought either you were being set up (i.e. had never heard of it), or that it was a good thing but needed time to come up with a spin answer.
