If your President can run the country by "executive order," then your Congress has become vestigial (not to mention the judiciary, which your President ignores when he sees fit, saying "fuck you" to judges, in the words of Emil Bove) and your republic has turned into a banana republic.

The underlying data for that puff piece is bewildering.
As far as I can tell, the number of students incapable of being on-level for math at grade four nationwide has degraded to 70% of the school population, down from 66% nationwide....Mississippi held steady at 68% failure then and now, so that's a vast improvement?
The one positive thing is that 2% more 3 and 4 year olds attend preschool in Mississippi. That IS a notable improvement.
