It increases it. I love a challenge, I love a workaround. and anyone with half a brain knew the real stuff was never on the public threads anyway.

But damn, it makes it more enticing, doesn’t it?

There’s a side of me that understand that my photos were never the most explicit, but some of us create with intention. This whole thing is a blow to the community that was built on creativity.

They took away whatever middle ground those creatives could have found. So there’s another side of me…

And that side of me says; fuck it.

If Lit goes down, I’ll do my best to bottle it all up until I combust.

My plan is to go down with the ship.

That’s something only a friend would know

I’ve never been the most visual…

But, still…

I’ll take the risk.

Will you?

No, I’d rather thank them for giving me something to chase again.

And still beg, gently, that they restore the stage for their most gifted creators. After all… we’re just living in the world they made.

I lost my ability a while ago, before this issue. I reached out to all of the PTB, and one mod responded, but they were never able to come up with a definitive answer other than "no, you don't get it back." So every attachment I ever made, regardless, was deleted. But that is not a site-wide issue, it was specific.

Some of Giphy's gifs are resolving, but most are not (I think there is a size issue). So far the other gif sites (Tennor, etc.) are not at all as far as I can tell. And nothing from an external site, such as Tumbler or Facebook, or from an external server (I have my own, and use a couple free hosting sites) is resolving as a picture, regardless of size. That is what I have seen so far.

I'm glad you've found a solution and I'm sorry you had to take it. I always enjoyed visiting your thread.

I feel most threads are probably going to find some kind of a second home on the server and while I do understand I still feel sad. For one thing, I'm not sure that's the right place for me. Maybe I just need more time to figure it out?
But for another Lit will suffer and is suffering if everyone migrates there full time.

I will probably continue to post on my Lit instance as well, but it is just a bit more difficult. But honestly, I like Lit's interface better (among other things). I am stubborn -- I don't plan to ditch Lit.

By attachment ability, is this a euphemism? Should people with attachment ability lasting longer than 4 hours seek medical attention?

You can both "ignore" and "block" specific users from their profile. Those options are on the three dots (more) button.

I can appreciate the ignore and block functions but it doesn't appear to be doing much. Maybe I'm doing it wrong

I’m not easily overwhelmed, but the thought of manually muting dozens of threads and continuing as more pop up while still having to scroll through it all just makes me close out of it

I can appreciate the ignore and block functions but it doesn't appear to be doing much. Maybe I'm doing it wrong

I just tested it, first with "ignore," which hides them and their posts (though you can see there is an ignored post, which you can access), but they can still see your posts and contact you. "Block" stops them from seeing your posts and blocks them from DMing you.

I find it interesting how people can be so different in one on one chats. Even some annoying people are great in private. And it’s all really about preference. I prefer more in depth posts than constant one liners.

But I don’t know if I have a way to ignore the people who are annoying. And it’s a lot of them. You know how people are really annoying on Lit sometimes? Well it just so happens that annoying people are exponentially more annoying in real time. It seems annoying people have lightning fast reflexes when it comes to posting in real time. It’s an obnoxious person’s superpower, it seems.

I have a handful of people blocked and it does quiet things down .

I also muted channels that I don’t care to see updates on. I keep everything collapsed. And then the ones that I do look at are the only ones that show up and only when they have a new post. It makes it more manageable.

It’s still not really my thing, but it’s more manageable.

It was ninety-five degrees here, sunny, the humidity was through the roof, and I was still outside all day. I mean, I am utterly exhausted, but that's not the point.
