Blackmans in Brick Lane was the first shop in London to ever sell DM's. It was near where I grew up and where I used to buy my Doc's as a young fella. It was a big favorite with the original skinheads.
It's also where I bought my favorite ever shoes, a pair of brown, calf leather brogues.

Sounds like quite a place. I’ve read abt it tons of times. Didn’t know it still existed. Apparently it doesnt anymore - but it’s still online.

Good morning everyone! Yes it’s me….I’m going to hijack the thread again as Salt is just getting back from his vacation. So I will be picking the winner of the salt shaker again and this was a very hard week to pick. I loved seeing everyone’s footwear and I’m impressed by how well you all wear your shoes!

First I want to give a shout out to @MidwestPrincess23 who appears to have as many sneakers as I do! My criteria for the winning pic this week is going to be a pic that makes me say wow, and there were 3 very different, but excellent ones; @Wonderer67 for an iconic pair of docs, @DannieB for a totally unique pair of chucks and @aussiegeekygal again for her stunning pair of glitter shoes and her sexy chucks.

But since there can only be only one winner I have to pick @DannieB and her chucks because she painted them herself and they just look so damn comfortable. So congrats Dannie, be gentle with the Salt shaker!
