What came before, what set it off, what came after (like, what even the fuck are we doing here. What is here.), and where will it go? Big Crunch; maybe we're stuck in a continuous loop? Big Freeze, and everything's gonna be dead and gone, for ever? Or maybe but for an instant. Is there time if everything's gone?

I’m rewatching Sex Education and I’m on I’m on the 3rd season where the prudish head teacher is telling them all not to have piercings, weird hair colour and “girls” having to wear skirts. I would have been so uncomfortable in that situation… having been make to wear clothing that I’m not comfortable in.

Or not having the freedom to change my hair or wear funky makeup.

It’s just insane.

When I finished elementary school, my late stepmother (whom I had met like 2-3x at that time) gave me a gold bracelet with 2 interlocking hearts. It was big enough that it could literally fall off my hand, so I wore it as an anklet. My very religious maternal grandmother saw me wearing it one day and got BIG MAD and started yelling and lecturing me about how only “girls who fooled around” wore anklets. I was 10 years old. It wasn’t until Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood came out in 2010 that I learned anklets and high-low hemlines advertised a woman in renaissance Italy was a courtesan, and learned here on Lit less than 2 years ago that it’s also a modern-day hotwife symbol if it has a pineapple or “H” & “W” charms. How the fuck did my grandma know this?!

And yes, he is a worthless excuse of a human being, also as evidenced by his leaving his constituents to freeze to death in a Texas snowstorm and power outage combo while he went to Cancun, and even leaving his DOG behind. Even if I knew nothing of his politics, he’d still be on my shitlist for that!

I went to a place that had a 1-10 scale for heat, 7+ you couldn’t send it back…

I ordered 7, took a few bites and waved the server over and was scolded having seen the policy..

“No, can I kick it up to like 8.5? It’s not quite I enough, I was too timid!”

The look of genuine respect was followed by taking it back and giving me a hotter plate. It was delicious
