Knowing what we pay AWS for a relatively small site, I can’t even imagine how much it costs them to host all the images that get uploaded here.

Getting rid of the threads like mine and the ones that just scrape the Web for images will save them shit loadsKnowing what we pay AWS for a relatively small site, I can’t even imagine how much it costs them to host all the images that get uploaded here.
I think that's the thing.I'm all in favour of the new policy should it be enforced.
I don't agree with the reasons given for the change but I can see others reasons why it should be enforced.
That's a legitimate reason, another being moderating entire threads of stolen, posted and reposted nudes is probably very time consuming and a thread of nudes offers little benefit.Getting rid of the threads like mine and the ones that just scrape the Web for images will save them shit loads
Absolutely. And if they were given as reasons I expect that people would have accepted it quickerThat's a legitimate reason, another being moderating entire threads of stolen, posted and reposted nudes is probably very time consuming and a thread of nudes offers little benefit.
Could you explain more on that ...For the record, the ban should extend to threads purely made up of links.
Your thread is original content, though. Threads like yours and those in visual arts and AmPics (minus catfish) are an entirely different animal than the ones that are literally just image after image from the web.Getting rid of the threads like mine and the ones that just scrape the Web for images will save them shit loads
So…most folks are hoping that it will still be okay to link to their content. Now, the threads that are just images scraped from across the web? I’d agree with you.For the record, the ban should extend to threads purely made up of links.
I think the forum should promote discussion. Threads of posted, reposted nudes scoured from the Internet do not do this. The same is true if the images are hidden by links.Could you explain more on that ...
But there's value to your threads. They are filled with creative and original content created by actual Litsters.Getting rid of the threads like mine and the ones that just scrape the Web for images will save them shit loads
I haven't seen @Saltfountain work but your the 2nd to comment on originality. Those should be excluded from the ban.But there's value to your threads. They are filled with creative and original content created by actual Litsters.

I didn't mean to imply there isn't.But there's value to your threads. They are filled with creative and original content created by actual Litsters.
But the ban is about nude images.I haven't seen @Saltfountain work but your the 2nd to comment on originality. Those should be excluded from the ban.
I feel this. Had a weird emotional morning about my body and celebrating other's beauty makes me feel better.![]()
This thread always helps me feel better when I'm having an argument with the mirror
Okay, that possibility never crossed my mind when we started this discussion. It would certainly change my opinion if Literotica has to pay a fee every time someone uploads an image.Knowing what we pay AWS for a relatively small site, I can’t even imagine how much it costs them to host all the images that get uploaded here.
of course they have to pay to host images. Same with gifsOkay, that possibility never crossed my mind when we started this discussion. It would certainly change my opinion if Literotica has to pay a fee every time someone uploads an image.
If cost is the main issue, then I would think that only posting links for photos should be okay, as then images wouldn't be hosted here.Knowing what we pay AWS for a relatively small site, I can’t even imagine how much it costs them to host all the images that get uploaded here.
If cost was the main issue, they could have said that and people would, I think, by and large have understood. If cost is the main issue, then I would think that only posting links for photos should be okay, as then images wouldn't be hosted here.

Have you actually read any of the discussion? What other reasons?
