I'll admit, this started out as a bit of an ego thing, but now I'm just confused.
I thought the list was determined was just a simple sum of favorites, but both the results on the list and the phrasing on the list page (Literotica Story Authors & Audio Creators whose published Works are on the most readers' Favorites Lists.) don't seem to support that. Is it a lump sum, or is it "these many readers have favorited at least one of the authors' works?"
If it's the former, then by my calculations, I should be somewhere in the mid-tier of the page at ~7900 favorites. If it's the latter, that doesn't explain why it's ordered by total number of favorites on the stories, rather than by the number of people who've favorited the author's stories.
Or is it something else entirely?
