Ah, sorry. Already beta read by FreyaGersemi, with scattering of her sexy dust, then post edits. Also the story is using her Cynthia and Katie characters.
So all ready to go. But I can let you have an advance copy if you want it.

Hello, everyone! I wanted to see how things are going with your stories. And I'm a bit apprehensive about how many stories will be posted!! Not only is this is my very first time hosting an Author's Challenge, it's a challenge that I started. Yikes! Kind of stressful!!

Let me know who has stories that will be part of the Lietrotica Convention Challenge. Thank you!!!

The Locked-Up Lesbian in my Closet

- is going live Saturday. Features a few familiar faces.

Changed - will go live at the end of the event... that's just the way the schedule falls.

So... I'm a noob, at least when it comes to being on Lit, though I've been a lurker/reader off and on for years.

Hopefully, the answer to this question is 'yes', but I was wondering if it's still okay to "attend the convention" despite not having any stories and by extension not having any pre-established characters to play with/share with the class?

I have elements of a story idea and would be happy to share my characters and their descriptions in the "Use my Characters..." thread, but for now they and the story only exist in my head.

Absolutely!! And to be honest, you don't even need to include other characters. This started with just an off-hand comment and someone mentioned that it could be a real thing. So, now it is!! I'm hosting it, so it's like I get to be the queen and I decree that you can do whatever you want!! So jump in and write!! If you need any help, there are plenty of people here that are very helpful and would love to assist you and/or offer guidance (including me).

Put them on the thread!! Then they will suddenly exist in the real world and not just in your head!!!

I just submitted my How To story, Lit Con Dance Lesson. There is only a very little bit of exposure in it, and no sex directly, but I did reference several of my favorite stories on Literotica.
The dance parts seem ok, but are very repetitive.
The interactions with other characters are enough for me to recognize the other characters, but I don’t know if anyone else will be able to identify their original stories.
I’m afraid the fourth wall breaking bits might be jarring.
But, I’m pleased with how it turned out.

If you want to try to guess where the non-narrator characters came from, please do so. I’m planning to leave a note with the origin stories at the end of the event.

Who wants Lit Con swag?

Yes, I should be writing, but when thinking about what a Literotica conference could be, I thought, "There should be swag!" So, in true procrastinator fashion, I whipped up some concept swag in Photoshop (thanks to some free PSD templates) for everyone to enjoy and/or use in your stories if you choose.
So what else is in the swag bag? Sex toys, smutty novels, condoms, erotic art...? TBH, I almost went down a rabbit hole of making con/Lit-themed sex toys as well, but (1) I couldn't find any freebie templates and (2) I knew that could get out of hand very quickly. I know me and I would've wanted to be inclusive and have all sorts of toys and not just a vibrator or a dildo, but feel free to imagine a themed sexy toy (or more) inside the bag. ;)

Also, what are some ideas for the different color wristbands? I like the 3 different colors, but maybe they mean something or give the wearer some sort of special access (though I'm generally not a fan of exclusivity especially since we're at a fictional conference). Either way, all this swag is my gift to you and free to use however you like in your stories.

Thanks for the images JWtts

On wrist band colours. [I reserve the right to be wrong. YMMV]
White - Vanilla - As in straight. But doesn't preclude group sex.
Blue - Fluid (water) - As in same sex or bi-sexual (please don't cancel me for mixing the two, but limited colours). So ask!
Black - Dark Side - Kink positive for instance B or D or SM or all combinations, or Voyerism / Exhibitionism as in hiding. Again Ask.

I might find the complementary bottle of lube in the shower when Bella and Katie behind a closed door gets written.

, a serial blowjobist crawling under the tables at dinner..

To be honest, I would be thrilled if every single story submitted in this challenge was complete mayhem!!! 😁

At least two of my imported characters are serial blowjobists… but they are very tame in my story.

My story is much to organized to be called complete mayhem, but parts of it might be mind bending.

Now, if I make the time to write another story, that one will be complete mayhem, I promise. I’m going to go add “complete mayhem” to the bottom of my list of story ideas…

I’m totally going to have time before I start working on the Hero and Yay Team events. I’ve got one Geek Story done, and a second longer one about halfway finished.

Ive got five or six story ideas that I could fit into a convention setting.

When is the last date for submission? When are stories going to start being published?

It runs through May 16, but you can submit after that!! This is just a fun Author's Challenge. No stress.
Bryan, just to clarify, it started on 25th April and publication is as normal, that is a day or two (depending on moderation) after you submit it for being published in the normal way, but don't forget Lit Con 2025 as a note to admin and a tag. After the closing date Laurel normally publishes a list of stories, no winners (OK we all win) no loosers!

"Otherworldly Convention Goers Pt. 01" goes live tomorrow!

Tiafell and his friends mysteriously appear on Earth. Confused and terrified, they navigate the streets of Grand City until they discover the Grand City Hotel, where the "The First Annual Virtual Literotica Convention" is about to begin, and find themselves drawn to it. As if their situation wasn't bizarre enough, the group discovers they have reservations! Having nowhere else to go, they decide to take full advantage of the situation and stay.

Part 1 will not have any sex happening, this one is all about the build up! There is plenty of innuendo, imagery (the bronze statues in the lobby are hilarious imo), and plenty of flirting in the Friday Evening Meet-and-Greet segment. But don't worry, Part 2 will start with nudity pretty early and things will escalate! 😂

I changed all of my <i> italics tags to <em> and my <center> tags to some other new thing that was suggested to me. Perhaps I've just been using out-of-date HTML tags. Maybe? I know that I'm woefully behind the times, but tech stuff just doesn't interest me at all. And yes, I still type out all of my HTML tags and stuff because I don't know how to work in any compatible program where I can just upload my story, formatting and all.

I have never used HTML tags and do everything in Word (though LibreOffice - free app - is functionally similar).
I would go with the adage that if it's not broke, don't fix it. I presume <em> is emphasis, which could be Italic or Bold or Underline and may not be rendered, or understood by Literotica's software. I cannot imagine a world where the old tags <i> <b> <u> cease to be used like the keyboard shortcuts ctrl+i ctrl+b ctrl+u can't be got rid off (Microsoft managers wanted to remove them from Windows, but their programmers refused!)

I use Word too, but my tags don't convert over when I paste my stories on here. Now, I copy and paste but have never uploaded a document, would that make a difference?

I had to Google how to use HTML to put italics in so they'd apply. It's kind of shameful, I'm the only millennial I know that barely knows how to use a computer. 😅

There is a how to story that tells which html tags work. In Short:
<I>italic</I>
<B>bold</B>
<CENTER>Centered</CENTER>
<A href="url">nice label</A>
<BLOCKQUOTE>indented</BLOCKQUOTE>
work. The A tag is very useful if you have references to other stories and authors.

I just work in Word or Libre and use it's formatting and upload to Literotica a .docx file. About the only thing their software doesn't translate is if you try a coloured background for text. For links I also use the facility the word processor gives me as I never learnt HTML as I'm too old, or it's too new! So I take the easy route!
I barely know how to use a computer, too!! I joke that I was the last person over the age of 11 to get a cell phone.
I have been using computers since 1976, when an 8k computer was the size of a two draw filing cabinet! It is a bit annoying that they keep changing things! ;) We didn't rush to get mobile phones for us or our children, but now mine lives in my shirt pocket or on the bedside cabinet!
