I wonder what percentage of users shared their issues with NSFW images while browsing on their phones. There aren't any NSFW images being thrown in your face other than the cam girls ads. Any other NSFW image needs to be sought out by the viewer and in that case, it's the users problem and NOT a problem of the poster or the site. In fact, I avoid accessing this site on the phone because of those stupid ads.

And that pile of steaming crap called a.k.a Politics board definitely needs to go.

However...

To the best of my knowledge, the politics board was set up to remove political arguments that were derailing other forums.

If it goes, then they will all come back to the GB & PG amongst other places. And then a site which has said it proudly supports free speech will have to decide if it really means that do let's it go, or censors political talk totally

I do agree with what you said, Literotica is a tex based site at heart and the cam girls add is the biggest sign I'm logging into an adult site.

I do beleive however, we should tone down the picture threads in the forum. I have nothing against NSFW images but all sites should help reduce reposting of stolen images. That alone is a good reason for the rule change.

They have said quite specifically it is because some users don't like opening the site on their phones because of the images

The stolen images are a HUGE problem. Images in general require the most moderator attention here. We remove so many for depicting clear violations of the egregious content rules, too. I have been expecting some sort of change and clarification and I’m glad to see it, and I know there will be community backlash. There’s going to be a lot of backlash in another forum I mod here, but at the same time 99% of the reports in that forum are images being reported.

Ultimately, clarity in the rules and consistent application of them is important.

Which one to you screams"adult site"? My point is, being bothered by scantilly clad folks in the forum, where you have to search them out, and not being bothered by huge, obviously cam sex ads, is a bit of a double standard.

I wonder if there is a financial incentive for this discrepancy.
Perhaps the blind-eye being cast to the periphery, is based on ad revenue.

Money is at the core of most business-born hypocrisy.

Yes, the PB sewer needs to be flushed away permanently and the General Board cleaned up.

Might as well shut the site down if you did away with PB because a lot of people are here to socialize rather than just read stories 24/7. Its a place to chat with others and not take over the theads in other forums like the Authors Forum where they usually discuss more focused on writing and story ideas.

I only access Lit on my phone and I don’t get inundated with ads.

I can absolutely attest that there are a shit ton of NSFW images that are posted in the forums. I agree with you that they should be sought out by the viewer and them appearing as links rather than embedded images would help with that.

That’s how they are choosing to socialize. I can’t imagine thinking that’s fun or a good use of my time, but then again I also feel that way about the image and game threads.
