What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

There is no expectation of privacy here. If someone chooses to post publically they have chosen to share with everyone here. I think it is then hypocritical to be upset when you chose to share publically?
Are we really saying it is ok to enjoy the photo only when it is up online? And what are we concerned folks are doing with the photos? Masturbstubg? Well be honest, folks that are doing that to photos online are doing it while they are posted as well.
I'm not saying blame the poster but I don't think anyone can post here and expect strangers online to obey some unwritten code of social responsibility.
Yes we can. That’s how societies exist. I shouldn’t assume everyone knows them or that no one will consciously violate those norms but I sure as shit can make it clear when it comes up that they exist and be upset at people if they do.

I have to agree with PG. It's not nice, and maybe a little creepy, to think that some folks might download your photos, but if it can be done, then someone will be doing it.
I know this when I post pics.

I don’t think this is what most people are really surprised about.

My surprise comes from people thinking it’s perfectly okay to do so. And, frankly, from your backing that up.

Something doesn’t have to go against policy or be impossible to do for it to be wrong to do. And I think shitty behavior deserves to be called out.
That's why you should send all your pictures to my inbox, I will guard them with my life and keep them safe. Only harm would be to the sticky buttons on my phone.

Honestly, it's not the masturbating over my pics that concerns me. It's taking them and then uploading them to other sites as if they're your own. I know that's happened to some people and it's totally fucked.

I do think we can hope people would obey a code of social conduct... What do you think society is based off of? We all agree to conform to codes of conduct.

Would I ever download someone else's images without their permission? Technically, I do when sharing poems or memes..but a photo of a person's body or face? Hell no. That's akin to snapping a pic in public without the person knowing. How would you like for someone to do that to you?

Has a litster downloaded my photos without my permission before? Yes, one told me about it. He was proud of how organized the folder was and did not see a problem with it. It lead to a dialog on my discomfort, the removal of my ability to say "no," and that a public presence does not grant permission. He supposedly deleted everything, but who knows?

Just..don't download personal photos without express permission...it's creepy as fuck and I will judge you for it.

For those with bearded partners: would you want to see your partner without a beard? Is that an option?

Some of you may have seen the videos of children seeing their dad after shaving a beard. It's trauma!

I've had my beard continously for over 25 of my 53 years. It's been in its current state for about 20. I've often joked that shaving my beard is my anti-aging plan because I expect I'd look younger shaving the gray beard away, but I don't think I would/will ever do it.

Thoughts from those with bearded partners?
I’ve been begging my wife to shave off her beard for over a decade. It’s been an option forever. She loves me to bits, but she just won’t do it.

No it’s not an option, he knows better. It’d be like me coming home bald 🫣
