New Milestones Thread

Today marks my first year of writing (well, publishing) on Literotica.

With 22 stories and 985 followers, I'd say I've been doing rather well. Some other stats of note include:
  • 1.2 million views
  • almost 14k votes (with an average score of 4.54)
  • 250ish comments received
  • 2.2k favorites
Though it might seem like I post mainly in I/T (8 stories there), I actually submitted stuff in thirteen categories; to most of them only once, though.

Beyond those potentially interesting numbers I don't actually have any groundbreaking insight to share on this "momentous" occasion. I've been dipping my toes into many ponds, mostly because of all the various contests and events I felt like participating in, and this next year I suspect I won't be chasing them with nearly the same zeal. My WIP folder isn't exactly overflowing with unfinished tales right now, but the IDEAS.md file has quite a few entries I might develop at some point.

What's more likely, though, is that I'll simply chase the next plot bunny that shows up :)

OMG, today I received a private message from a voice artist who had made a VA version of one of my stories, shared a rough edit with me (it's really good) and asked permission to publish it

This is the first time someone has wanted to do something creative based on MY WORK and it feels amazing!

That's so cool! Which story? I can imagine your lingerie salesman story working really well as audio as it's basically a monologue.

Yup that's the one!

I won't out the VA yet until they're ready to publish and advertise, but they did a very charming job of it!

Congrats. Those are good numbers.

My most recent story, A Crazy Little Thing, has done well with rating, views, favorites, and comments, but it's also done great on the Views to Ratings ratio. After one week (and about half a day), it has 14,565 views and 1,100 ratings for a Views to Ratings ratio of 13.241, my best ever.

And though it's not a real milestone, it sure feels like one: Tomorrow, I'm scheduled to have my second story published in 8 days after three months of what seemed like fruitlessness as I bounced between seven or eight stories, missing every planned contest and event that I tried to hit. I envy some of you who can knock out a new story every few days!

Well, most of the pay comes from blogs and podcast scripts, which are 'written' by (for actually) people who are too lazy to research and write their own material. And a couple of published writers who, well, they pay me so, enough said. I only pay for Donnie's preschool and buy some shoes and dresses for myself or Jo with my published work under my pen name. But I am actually impressed with your progress in such a short amount of time.
Oh no but you're out there ACTUALITY PUBLISHING and GETTING PAID, and that blows my mind 😍

Okay I know I posted a milestone recently, but I have to share another one... Having just completed my first series, I also realized that it passed 100,000 views! I know it's an arbitrary number, and includes who knows how many bots and such, but it still feels meaningful and pretty dang good 😍

I don't know if this is considered a milestone. Only started writing about 3 months ago so I really don't have much to talk about in terms of followers/views and what not, but I've finally started writing in the genre that I've always wanted to write in (BDSM). Outside of two books I've read partially, I have basically zero literary/realworld experience in the genre but it's a category that's always fascinated me. So far, really enjoying the challenge!

Anyways, I suppose this is more of a personal milestone. Oh also I suppose it's a milestone that I started writing on Literotica. Never in my life did I ever picture myself publishing works on here. So I'm kind of proud of that.
