My parents used the motto of you must try it before saying you don’t like it. I applied the same with my children with a twist, “ there is always peanut butter and jelly”.

I'm glad that I avoided the first hip guy I went to see. I liked the second one.

^^This... so much, this. My first knee doctor was fixated on my weight. Ignored everything else - all my activity, previous dislocations... to him, weight loss was the only solution.

I fired him, researched knee docs, and saw someone else. That doctor did my first knee replacement when I was 40. Young for a replacement. But he told my mom, "There was more damage than the MRI showed. That knee was shot. The only option was a replacement."

Telly is prone to get Foot Stuff. He likes the attention and will willingly hold up his feet to have them worked on.

Friend of a friend had a bad breakup. They were going to throw away several bottles of "cheap Jamaican rum". I offered to take them, made them into rum balls.... very tasty, very potent rum balls.

Classmate's father painted their house this color (not the cream color). Everyone in town knew who's house just by mentioning the color... it's still talked about in certain circles... decades later.

Crazy weather

We are getting the same crazy weather. It’s no wonder my sinuses are a pain

Nursing is hard. Have I told you that? She’s making progress though and last night I was able to sleep upstairs. She doing a little better everyday. New appreciation for all the work she does (all stay at home moms do) day in and day out. Good on all caretakers!

Nurses, caregivers, stay at home folks - all very hard work and very needed work. Mad props to all our Spoonies that help in these capacities!
