The best rum I ever had was Caribbean. First wife and I went to Cozumel and Belize 5 or 6 times a year. One year I went I found it and was hooked. I convinced everyone I could to pack some for he return trip. So smooth and sweet you could drink it straight no problem. Never saw it again after that one trip. Wish I would have saved those bottles instead of enjoying them.

I dont drink liquor too much, but i like a good drink now and again. I do like various whiskeys, but when I bought our farm, we bought it from this Spanish guy. He went to Cuba and somehow got some really good Cuban rum. It is FANTASTIC! I think he brought it here thru Spain.

A friend advocates for a good 1911 in 9mm. The more I think about it, the more I think that it's a concept I could wrap some fingers around.

I would like some sort of 1911. It’d have to be a repro I think tho.

browning Hi power - same maybe a repro. Springfield makes a good one.

And an old wheel gun. I’d like a webley revolver or an old Colt single action.

Bucket list stuff.

Prolly more pragmatic to get my Torino running and begin the body work. Decisions, decisions.

Yes, the tool I got her was the root slayer. It’s a transplanting shovel with a sweater edge to go thru tough earth and god know what else!

So we split all of the oak today. I am separating it cuz it takes 18 mos to cure. It will be ready in the fall of 2026!

Ash is already dead so pretty much split and burn. I have some maple to split too.

Mrs wonderer and I made pretty good progress today - split and sacked a cord of oak.
