Let me guess… you’re a morning personWoke up this morning with that great fatigue feeling (not sore) in my legs..... The real training toward April 24 (next race) has begun! I fucking love it!
Ok that is all....back to my coffee![]()
Very much so! I don't always do my workout then (except I usually do get the pushups in then because we'll get those out of the way yuck) but I do love time with my dear coffeeLet me guess… you’re a morning person
I am too. I’ve always woken up early in the morning. That’s just when my body is ready to start the day.
Oh no! Damn that sounds painful and like it'll suck overall in so so sorry. To keep moving? Yikes I guess depends on what you're allowed to do and how much pain you're in.So I went to see an orthopedic doctor today for my butt...My tailbone is definitely fractured, and I dislocated the tip of it. I'm out skating and working out in general for 6 weeks
Thankfully it looks like time is the main thing for healing so I just have to figure out how to stay sane while not being about to skate or do and lower body workouts. All suggestions are welcome lol
. I'll be more diet focused in general but I've got to keep my body moving somehow.

Probably mostly upper body. My coach said I can still do some off skate stuff at practice if I'm up to it so I'm going to give that a shot next week.Oh no! Thank you! That's a great idea!I wish you a speedy recovery.
Maybe an arm cycle will help you get your heart rate up a little? Probably not comparatively to skating but adds a little to your cardio.
I also hope this time will fly by and you’ll be back at it before you know it.
I’m sorry to hear that you got that news but I’m so glad you went to see the orthopedic doctor. My friend fractured her tailbone on one of those super steep waterslides and was told to do certain stretches to help her recover. I remember one was the “cat-cow” pose. Basically you’re on all fours and you arch your back up like a cat hissing, and then let your back sag down .. like a cow? Idk why that’s a cow, but anyway, that’s what it’s called. So I went to see an orthopedic doctor today for my butt...My tailbone is definitely fractured, and I dislocated the tip of it. Oh yes, I have a donut to sit on. It's a new accessoryI’m sorry to hear that you got that news but I’m so glad you went to see the orthopedic doctor. She also had a pillow that she brought with her to sit on for a while.
This too shall pass, but for now it really stinks. Take care of yourself. Hugs![]()
Silver linings are EVERYTHING ...... You've got this!Oh yes, I have a donut to sit on. It's a new accessory. Thank you, I have my moments, but I'm mostly doing fine. I really miss skating but I know I'll get back at it. My coach offered to show me some off skate things I can do at practices until I'm able to skate again.
On a positive note, I heard from the coach of the league in the town we are moving to and they are ready to have me skate with them when I get there.
Silver linings!![]()
Sounds like a good intense routine!!It was suggested I come post over here...
I jog on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays on a treadmill. Sometimes it's for speed and distance, sometimes with weights and varying inclines.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are for ICF/weight lifting.
I'm slowly upping my weight, so it's not as intense just yet.Sounds like a good intense routine!!

Yea but any weight works..... With a big race in April and then a monster in June with likely a lot of elevation I've been doing the stair machine for at least a half hour before any runs in an effort to do all my work on tired legs.I'm slowly upping my weight, so it's not as intense just yet.![]()
Same. I was even let down when I read all of it and there were no additional mentions of ice cream as a reward. Or lifting gallon containers for weight. Or swimming in a sea of ice cream mix. Nothing!!!I saw 'Ice Cream Fitness and got way too enthusiastic about the possibilities![]()

The guy who made is kind of.. douchey (least that's how he comes across with his way of writing) so it doesn't surprise me he named it as he did.Same. I am so guilty of trying to workout to fix my bad food choices.Totally NotSunday Sanity Check
Still struggling to get the gains that I'm wanting. I know some of it comes down to my diet. I should be more vigilant but Geez!!!! Food is soooo good!!!

So proud and happy for you! You're awesomeJust a quick thank you to everyone who gave me advice and encouragement the other week.
I finally had a win battling my anxiety and yesterday I went to a gym, had a look round and became a member.
Tomorrow I'm going in to try a pilates class and next week I'm booked in for group cycling and I'll go from there once I see how I feel afterwards.
Maybe I'm underestimating my current abilities or maybe I'll get there and pass out after 10 minsbut either way I can adjust once I've tried a couple of things and go from there
