Tariffs announced on Canada, China, & Mexico goods

Try taking a history class on the War of 1812.

"Canadians live longer, are happier, have a great social safety net, better health care, and a far superior education."

US fought that war for you.
U.S. fought that war against Canada.
Fuck you're an idiot. How do you dress yourself?

After this episode of your stupidity you should be too embarrassed to post here anymore. But hey you're a MAGA, and part of that is to have no shame. (MAGA's are too ignorant to understand shame)

Awwww did I hurt your fee fees?

Now you resort to grade school insults. Well given the shitty education you got, I'm not surprised....Grade 8 drop out?
It doesn't hurt my feelings you speak French. We only ran them out of here as we were busy building this great country.
And you can keep your fee fees. By the way Trump is matching your fee fees and raising ours to match.
Pay up bitch.

Even been to Louisiana?

Again, if we shut off our Oil, and our Electricity and our Lumber and Our metals, you guys are fucked. But hey don't believe me, fuck around and find out....Trump doesn't have the balls for a "real trade war". The stock market will sink faster than the Titanic. Trump will just claim victory and end the tariffs. And you know it......lol
Pay up bitch.
lol fuck off dunce.

Doddering Donnie says tariffs on Mexico and Canada are scheduled for Tuesday. How far will the stock markets drop that morning?

Here's a brief list of Trump's major threats and their upcoming deadlines:

  • March 4: 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico over fentanyl and illegal migration. Additional 10% duties on China.
  • March 12: Blanket 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum on producers around the world.
  • April 2: Reciprocal tariffs could begin to come into effect on an array of nations.
  • Date TBD: 25% tariffs on the European Union.
  • Date TBD: New unspecific tariffs threatened on other sectors like copper and automobiles.

So much stupid.

Our former allies are going to quickly retaliate, of course.

The stock markets are already nosediving in anticipation of Doddering Donnie’s Bigly Tariff Tuesday.

If there’s a true market crash today and tomorrow, will Trump postpone his tariff fetish again? If the tariffs are implemented, how quickly and strongly will Canada, Mexico and China retaliate?

The Tax Foundation estimates that Trump's 2018-2019 tariffs shrank US GDP by about 0.2%. The proposed tariffs this week against just Canada and Mexico are projected to surpass that, the group said, even setting aside all-but-certain retaliation and Trump's moves against China.

All we can do is sit back and watch the stupidity unfold.

Doddering Donnie says tariffs on agricultural imports will start April 2. I guess he’s eager for grocery prices to rise. 👍

President Donald Trump said the US would impose tariffs on “external” agricultural products starting on April 2, his latest threat to impose trade barriers on imported goods.

“To the Great Farmers of the United States: Get ready to start making a lot of agricultural product to be sold INSIDE of the United States. Tariffs will go on external product on April 2nd. Have fun!” the president said Monday in a social media post.

Stupidity on parade.

Yeah, could you imagine if Canada did that already, like for example if Canada had the following tariffs on US goods such as:

Canadian Tariffs on U.S. Goods

Milk: up to 270%.
Cheese: 245%.
Butter: 298%.
Poultry: 238%.
Eggs: 163%.
Sausages: 69.9% (MFN rate if not CUSMA-compliant).

Almost 300% tarrifs on US goods? Well, that's just business as usual! But a 25% tariff threat, that's just plain stupid cuz Trump dumb! 🤭😄🤣

  1. The agricultural tariffs aren’t targeted at Canada. They will be on all agricultural imports.
  2. The current trade agreement we have with Canada and Mexico was negotiated by Trump, so if those tariff rates are real (doubtful), then Doddering Donnie is to blame. 👍
  3. Excluding oil and gas, the US has a trade surplus with Canada, so the trade war Trump is starting with them is truly moronic.

I've been wondering, and I may have mused this here already; but Don could be manipulating the markets. He's dumb about most things, but money he knows. Don threatens tariffs, market dives, Don buys, I retract tariffs and sell when market rebounds....

I haven’t seen any evidence that Trump is smart about money. He’s made a lot during his life, but consistently finds ways to lose it and ends up having to sell Bibles to earn a few bucks.

And the markets are down overall since Inauguration Day, so anyone trying to buy and sell short term is bucking the overall trend.

If you're not concerned about Canadian tariffs which reach levels of up to 300% on US goods, then don't expect anyone to take you seriously when you whine about Trump's threatened 25% tariffs, or that Canada has a leg to stand on when claiming they're going to implement 'counter tariffs', when Canada has been charging the US with tariffs in the hundreds of percent for a long time.

As I said, Trump negotiated our current trade agreement with Canada, so if he’s mad about it he only has himself to blame. 😄

And as I also said, we have a trade surplus with Canada, excluding oil and gas. The overall trade environment is in our favor, but Doddering Donnie and you are still upset about it. You are cherry-picking individual items and pretending that means something.

5 bankruptcies and back to a billionaire. He knows the ways to earn money, and he's not shy to do it. Legal, Con, Steal...

If you buy in large enough volume, spread around, you could capitalise on this trend.

I'm not saying he is. I'm just speculating he could be. Him and his Billionaire buddies.

So then you're saying Trump cut Canada a sweet trade deal, but now with the US having serious national debt problems, any attempt on his part to renegotiate is him being "unreasonable".

Explain why 300% tariffs are okay if other countries, like Canada, do it to the United States. But if the US threatens 25% tariffs on other countries, that's not okay.

You're literally arguing that other countries can impose tariffs on the US, but if the US proposes tariffs an order of magnitude smaller, the US is suddenly a bad actor in international trade.

International trade has nothing to do with the national debt. The trade deficit is not the budget deficit. 😆 And Trump isn’t trying to “renegotiate”, he’s unilaterally imposing new tariffs.

Explain why 300% tariffs are okay if other countries, like Canada, do it to the United States. But if the US threatens 25% tariffs on other countries, that's not okay.

You cherry-picked a few individual items, which says nothing about the overall trade agreement in place now.

We have a trade surplus with Canada (excluding oil and gas imports that benefit us tremendously). It’s moronic to start a trade war with them.

You're literally arguing that other countries can impose tariffs on the US, but if the US proposes tariffs an order of magnitude smaller, the US is suddenly a bad actor in international trade.

I’m literally arguing that starting trade wars is dumb. If Trump has a problem with the trade agreement he made with Canada and Mexico, he should sit down with them and negotiate a new agreement.

Instead of doing that, Trump is showboating by imposing tariffs unilaterally. It’s going to damage the US economy.

International trade has nothing to do with the national debt.
It does if you're trying to strengthen your economic position to deal with problems like national debt.
The trade deficit is not the budget deficit.
No shit, sherlock.

The US economy is ten times bigger than that of Canada, and you think a trade surplus is surprising?

If tariffs just damage the country imposing them, then why does Canada impose up to 300% tariffs on US goods?
