Trump expanded his 50% tariff on metals to include a lot of products that include metal components

The abrupt change caught businesses by surprise.

President Donald Trump stunned the logistics industry on Friday by widening his steel and aluminum tariffs to include more than 400 types of consumer items that contain the metals, such as motorcycles and tableware.

Customs brokers and importers in the US were given little notice to account for the change, which went into effect Monday and did not exclude goods in transit.

Compliance is a pain the ass because it’s so complicated.

Flexport, a digital freight forwarder, said in a blog post that “for many brands, this means chasing suppliers for detailed data: aluminum weight, percentage of customs value, and country of cast/smelt.”

The compliance burden, Flexport said, “is significant.”

We still haven’t seen the INFLATION that his Orangeness has created with his tariffs on Mexican goods. Due to TACO
How do the companies that trusted his Orangeness’s brand new North American Free Trade treaty

Treaty? Screw that! The new one??? Well some FOOL created that crap!

We are an island!! We will be fine!!

unfortunately, those tariffs deemed illegal will remain in place for the time being as things play out in court.

this seems wrong on so many levels: surely it is wiser to stop a tariff and then reinstate it if further courts overrule the twice-declared illegalities?
It is wiser, but it would mean more chaos if the GOP Supreme Court overrules this verdict.

Fed Appeals Court rules 7-4 that trump's blanket tariffs are illegal and exceed his presidential powers. trump is upset.

TrumpTariffs are the largest tax increase on American businesses and consumers since the 1960s, but Donnie says removing them would make us “financially weak”.

If lowering taxes makes us financially weak, then I guess the Trump tax cuts for billionaires will be repealed immediately, right?

Protectionism shrinks the size of the overall economy. There’s no getting around that. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The educated understand your statement. The less than educated will refute it. Keep it going.
