I'm quite pleased with this, but I've been happy with how all of my submissions on Lit have gone over. This one does have the most number of ratings on it, though, that's cool.

Another 750 Word Challenge is in the books and, once again, I've had the pleasure of reading and being encouraged by so many of you here in the AH. I've been introduced to several wonderful writers who, while providing me much reading pleasure, have also helped me become a marginally better writer.

This year, I contributed three stories. Two were in categories I hadn't tried before. One was an experiment whose results I'm still evaluating. Another was a completely gender neutral (I hope) fetish tale and the third introduced a thoroughly despicable character and no hint of a happy ending (except for him). One of the nice things about the 750 word format is that it encourages us to stretch our boundaries. Thanks to everyone for their good writing and even better words of encouragement.

We now return to our regularly scheduled writing.

After reading the comment of @Jocelyn_Nicole_Sawyer on Thoughts Upon Worshipping Your Feet, I reread it and discovered I had accidentally omitted a key word from the story. It looks like the readers filled it in without thinking, but, still, it's essentially a 751 word story. I am mortified.

Lyricists leave whole syllables out of words to fit the music, and count it as artistry. You could do the same, and seek to build the skill next year by shooting for a 760 word story with 10 virtual words... And given that you're not the only who accidently leaves words out, we could do this as a challenge within a challenge....
