So I've been here just a few weeks. Lots of profiles are VERY prescriptive about how they want - or don't want - to be approached in chat. Which suggests that there have been some pretty bad experiences via pm.

So, to help us newbies avoid the pitfalls, and to give a chuckle or two to experienced chatters, I'm posing a question.

What's the worst opening line you've had on lit chat? Wasn't aiming for a name and shame - hey, it could be me - but I'm curious about how bad those initial approaches can be, especially for the ladies...
