All joking* aside I think that gap, for me, needs to be pretty narrow.
I am turning 54 this year and I can't imagine having anything in common with anyone under 19.

I was married to someone 12 years older than me for 20 years. I would prefer someone closer to my age now. +/- 8 years but it certainly isn’t a hard rule.
It was rarely an issue at all, except that we tended to be at different life stages at any point. I guess, after spending years living in a social circle much older than me, I just would rather be with people my own age now.
And being with someone so much younger, they have wonderful fond memories of music that I thought was horrific trash when it came out, and just hearing it is nails on a chalkboard to me.

Is there a particular moment of time… an event.. that if you were dating someone and they didn’t know about it, or weren’t alive for it…. Would make you question whether you wanted to continue dating them?
