Austin knew that Biden's order for withdrawal from Afghanistan and Biden's arrogant dismissal of the advice from his SEC/DEF on how to do it and the protest from his generals changed my mind on Austin and Milley. Removing troops before civilians was insanity on steroids, don't care what warnings were given civilians. Both Austin and Milley should have approached Biden and politely stated* Mr. president this is wrong. If you choose to insist with this order then I, with regret, resign. But neither did. They even helped propagate the nonsense that the withdrawal was a total success. What was a success was the military doing their job, the logistics operation were just about flawless but the concept was insane.
