Which was clearly stated by the hunter Russian when he said to stop reprisals and only hunt and kill the rebels. Killing innocent people won no one over.Soviet troops invade and occupy Colorado. Local teenagers fight back.
But there is a curious omission: Where are the Communists in this story? I mean the American Communists -- they do still exist, even now. One would expect the Soviets to use them as public liaisons -- even put them in charge of a new government -- that's what they did in Eastern Europe after WWII -- they handed power to any local Communists the Gestapo had not killed. At no point in Red Dawn do the Soviets appear to be making any effort to communize the areas they occupy.
