I used to think men in general are pervier than women. When I was in a fetish/sex group, the ratio of women to men would always weigh heavily in favor of men.

But after my college, when I was having sex outside the group, I realized the imbalance is both the reason and the cause of why women seem less taboo.

I'm blessed enough that men make the first move, they try to sound interesting and unique, and then try to impress me in bed. Men are competing with a bigger group. So I think, men and women have the same capacity to be pervy, but on average, more men exercise that part of their mind than women.

Some say that's unfortunate but I think it's fortunate because men aren't ready mentally and biologically for a world where women are uninhibited in their sexual urges and fantasies

I would definitely hope so, I would love to meet someone with similar taboo interests. It just seems that men express these interests a little more openly than women. Whenever I’ve tested the waters with women I dated and approached the topic very carefully I kinda got the impression I shouldn’t push any further as they didn’t seem very receptive. Remember that men tend to be much larger, heavier, and stronger than women giving them a greater capacity for violence. Plus, men tend to suffer less shame from friends, family and society if caught in engaging in taboo behaviors. Take for example picking up a woman at a Hotel bar. If she goes back to the room of a strange man she is at FAR greater risk of being beaten than he is. Likewise if their spouses find out. She is much more likely to be beaten by a jealous husband than he is by a jealous wife. Ugh.

Who knows for certain if they'd be JUST as taboo as men, but women would CERTAINLY be more taboo than they are today if the risks of such behavior were truly equal to a mans.

Picking up a woman at a bar for a one night stand is not taboo in my opinion. A woman getting drunk and blowing her brother in a bathroom during a family gathering is the taboo I’m referring to..
