A key part of the conflict today is the struggle over democratic governance versus continued military control. There is political instability but the country remains divided along ethnic and regional lines, with factions in both the army and the paramilitary forces fighting for control.
But this is army vs. army -- it does not appear either side stands for "democratic governance" -- so what are they fighting over?

Find the record of what Hilary Clinton did there as Secretary of State and after that as the Clinton organization. They are fighting over what’s left. Also I tatters since Obama Hilary pludering libya Eritrea Chad Somalia….

Yea ok. Libya has been in civil war since Hilary killed gadaffii.
Hilllary did not kill Gaddafi, not even by proxy.

You have your own version of history. Hilary damaged Libya on the behest of France. For no reason. So we will never know how much she profited from it. Just another blunder of the oBummer oBiden regime. We are still paying and Libya remains in civil war and Sudan and…. Back then her blathering was Muslim brotherhood. Also toppled Mubarak, set Egypt back economically amend made another enemy for Israel. Only a conundrum for Egypt. They had gone to great lengths to eradicate Palestinians and don’t want any back. It was Hilary’s time as well that removed us troops from the sanai penensula. A very strategic place already a no man’s land. Suez on one side Israel on the other.

All of the north African destabilization was started by the obama regime. No one knows why. No one understands why they set war to last for years in that region.
It is interesting in the middle east now. Assad is gone. Russia can't afford to meddle and their sworn enemies are on their heels. Where is Iran now? Are they trying to beg forgiveness from Iraq? Wait till Trump is in office. With MENA leadership able to speak to Trump and get a clear American response we will see how they want their region to live. Probably help them rebuild it.

Egypt (and the world) would better off with the Muslim Brotherhood in charge than with the Army (yet again) in charge. The MB are more like Europe's Christian Democrats than they are like al-Qaeda or ISIS.

With independence, various factions were allowed to rise and South Sudan separated away following a string of long civil wars in 2011. Civil wars continued there until 2023, combined with famines. Elections are now planned for 2026. It's not a place where many people choose to vacation.
The remainder of the territory (still called Sudan) is worse. The surrounding countries are also engaged in their own civil wars, such as Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, etc.
It's a region where amputation of the limbs of civilians is seen as a military tactic.

Muslim/Arab north vs. Christian/Animist/African south fighting over limited natural resources.
The conflict is made worse by tribalism in the south and religious fundamentalism in the the north.
The conflict doesn't fit neatly into contemporary western narratives about nationalism, colonialism, or capitalism. It's just old-school warlords slugging it out like they used to in Europe before the 18th Century.
I thought the secession of South Sudan settled all that.
