We can't engage in tribal warfare anymore. So men try to get out their aggression, and some women, by staging tournaments where we choose our champions. Then we stage these tournaments and feel as though our village has won or lost depending on the outcome. Time and money is invested in people and organizations that you do not know, and who do not care about you at all, in tournaments that you have no control over the outcome. After being immersed in the law enforcement world for twenty three years, I can't help but mention that the highest instances of domestic violence in any one area generally correlates to the losses of that area's team.

I get wanting to support your high school or college that you affiliated with, but other than that, it's a huge bore, and uh, I find it repulsive how much time and money is wasted on it.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go read my favorite beauty blog and probably dump a bunch of money into cosmetics
