Lit Fantasy Classes: D&D Nerds Unite
If you’re familiar with any type of role playing game (and if you’re not, PM me and let me seduce you with dice
), then you know of the concept of the "class". This determines what your role is in any party, where your power comes from, what your strengths and weaknesses are and indicates to others how you will probably interact. So I’ve put together a little list of Lit Fantasy Classes. This list isn’t exhaustive and it wasn’t written with any one specific Litster in mind but, instead, an amalgamation of folks from my (far too many) years on Lit. This is all meant in good, cheeky fun so if you get offended easily or can't take a gentle joke, maybe this one isn't for you.
I’d love to hear any Lit Classes you think of that I missed and I’d love to know if you self identify with any of these so far. I won’t assign them but… I know.
Jizzard (wizard)
This Litster gains power from study, reflection and listening and could be considered among the rarest and most powerful of their kind. They know exactly when to say the right thing and when to keep their mouth shut. Even the filthiest jokes or most alarming desires are easily accepted because of their charm. They seem to know a little about everything or everyone and have the intelligence to use that power for good (mostly).
• Strengths: intelligence, wit, perception
• Weaknesses: ego, lack of self-awareness, over compensating for something
Whorelock (warlock)
This Litster made a pact with a powerful sex demon for their power. They ooze sex appeal and desire and even the most innocent of posts or interaction tends to ruin underwear in some way. They radiate confidence and prowess but always leave the people wanting more. If you get to be intimate with a whorelock, you’ll live the rest of your days chasing that feeling.
• Strengths: charisma, sexy voice
• Weaknesses: slippery
Fluid Druid (druid)
This Litster is the chameleon of the Lit world and as flexible and unstable as Mother Earth herself. They can’t be contained in one box and often pop up in the most surprising conversations. They are observant and often see the truth of people and situations more clearly than others. They embrace their desires and make others feel safe expressing theirs. They will usually introduce you to something you never knew would make you cum like a volcano but now you can’t live without.
• Strengths: easy to talk to, open minded
• Weaknesses: impulsive, unstable
Neck-Romancer (necromancer)
This undead Litster expresses their powers in short bursts before returning to their grave for an indefinite amount of time to recharge. For the month they are active on the boards, they exude sex appeal and undeniable charm, often racking up quite a body count, but are soon overwhelmed by the demands of people or the drama they create and disappear or die for a time long enough to recreate themselves or have their original indiscretions forgotten.
• Strengths: cunning, persuasive
• Weaknesses: dead
Boob-arian (barbarian)
This simple but delightful Litster is fueled by one thing and one thing alone. Boobs. There is no problem that can't be fixed with boobs. No holiday that can’t be celebrated with boobs. No day that can’t be improved with boobs. No matter the question, boobs are the answer. They are grateful to anyone who is willing to share but always respects the boundaries of those that don’t want to share. That respect often leads to more boobs in their inbox. Boobs.
• Strengths: encouraging, enthusiastic
• Weaknesses: boobs
White Knight (paladin)
The power this Litster wields comes from the belief that they are right about any topic they happen to have an opinion about. No matter the gender these Litsters will evangelize their opinion and inform you why their ideas on anything from kink to music to consent to Lit itself is the one true way. They are quick to stand up for the little guy (which is almost always a girl) regardless if their defense is warranted or requested. The only god they pledge allegiance to is themselves and you should too.
• Strengths: confidence, available time
• Weaknesses: confidence, available time
Bard (bard)
This Litster is ready to strike a pose and bare some skin for an adoring audience. They are sexual artists. They wield a shield of confidence which protects their more sensitive core. Their weapons are lighting and angles and they slay daily. They are generous and creative with their time and physique and tend to attract crowds but because pictures are worth a thousand words, they often don’t have much to say.
• Strengths: beauty, always a good distraction
• Weaknesses: needs positive attention regularly, sensitive
Cunt Hunter (ranger)
This Litster is good at tracking. They wade through the threads, the personals, the pictures looking for the horniest, most willing person they can find. They will seduce their prey quickly and satisfyingly but the hunt will always call for another. This Litster doesn’t post much but sees all. You’d call them lurkers but they would call themselves ninjas. They like their privacy and aren’t likely to leave a trail behind them.
• Strengths: seduction, prey sense
• Weaknesses: commitment, low standards
No-gue (rogue)
This Litster is bored and unperceivable. They aren’t particularly powerful but they have an invincible armour that makes them hard to touch. They will oft remark on how boring Lit is without the slightest sense of irony. They always give a simple “no” in the LAY you threads, they “don’t know” in the NAL threads, they don’t send PMs, they don’t participate or contribute meaningfully BUT they are present and damnit, that counts!
• Strengths: unflappable
• Weaknesses: boring
Arti-fist-er (artificer)
This Litster never met something they couldn’t make sexy and their power comes from their inane ability to see potential all around them. Whether it’s household appliances or rope or vegetables, they easily open the eyes of others to sexual possibilities all around them. Are their ideas always good? Well no… But their confidence, humor, and aw-shuckness will have you forgiving them before you even make it to the ER.
• Strengths: creative, fun
• Weaknesses: impetuous, boundary pusher
