Trump says Abortion should be left to States, Doesn't endorse national ban

Fucking moron, take a look at the CPI today you dumb fucker, you must be buy alot of Raman noodles to stay under 40 bucks a bag
are you buying less now than 5 years ago?
traveling less?
commuting to work less?

no.

now shut your dumb mouth.

Fucking moron, take a look at the CPI today you dumb fucker,
What does the consumer price index have to do with what fits in my grocery bag?
you must be buy alot of Raman noodles to stay under 40 bucks a bag
Obviously you don't know the prices in the grocery stores, maybe stop begging on the street corner and go to a grocery store and see for yourself.

Same with going to Mexico. Walk across the border. Shop, eat, walk back.
That's the problem right there. Also: El Paso.

Border security is not going to be possible unless we ban Mexicans entirely. Otherwise, people are going to drift back and forth.

god, how dumb are you? it's the americans who walk, shop, eat and return... 'drift' back and forth. The flow the other direction is NOTHING like the USA-Mexico-USA traffic. perhaps mexico should close their borders to americans? especially those who pick up drugs on the other side and return to the USA with them in their vehicles...

It is not exclusively these by far. People come across that border en masse, and those who live in the border towns often cross over during the day. Shopping in Mexico is cheap, just be wary of anything wet.

The more prices go up, the higher the cost of the contents of the bag.
True, however, the point was about how much an average bag of groceries cost me today. Not that the CPI measure commodity price levels. See the difference now?

Trump doesn't really have any personal convictions on abortion limits at all. Trump will do whatever wins him support. He appointed those conservative judges to SCOTUS and milks his personal role in that and breaking Roe v Wade. It was also very predictable that Trump would, in this election year, either favor leaving the matter to the states or to enforce a national abortion time limit of something like 15 weeks. The latter would upset the evangelical crazies in those states where abortion is banned or near banned, so Trump will favor leaving it to the states.

Trump was never, ever a Mike Pence type on abortion; nor is he down a narrow minded, culture war, rabbit hole, like DeSantis; nor is he a Reaganite conservative like Haley, nor is he even really religious, unless Narcissus and Gammon are his Gods.

Only since it became a figment of the imagination in 1973. In the 185 years prior it was never contemplated in the body of the Constitution or the 105 years between the ratification of the 14th Amendment and the passage of Roe.
The irony is that a 1972 Gallup poll had 68% of Republicans being pro-choice and 59% of Democrats being pro-choice. Most Republicans at the time were like "Abortion is a matter between the woman and her doctor, and nothing to do with state or federal government", while most Democrats at the time were like "It's the woman's right to choose", although much less so in the south obviously.

Ask yourself why Reagan and his disgusting allies in the GOP allied themselves with the anti-choice lobbyists, and for that matter why they tried to force an anti-choice position on Gerald Ford's platform in 1976 at a time when Betty Ford was an outspoken supporter of abortion rights and of Roe v Wade. Even the arch-conservative Barry Goldwater couldn't stand those evangelical anti-abortion crazies.

It's impossible to quantify the cost for a bag of groceries.

You wouldn’t believe him anyhoo!

Leaving it between a woman and her doctor is far smarter than what the Moral Majority wants. Kicking it to the states allows them to make these rules. Whatever state has the most success will be emulated by others.
