Iv told this story before on here but here goes. My husband goes to York races every year with he's mates. He goes on a Friday and comes back Sunday night after a all day drinking session. I thought I'd give him a treat and put on a red and black basque,red thong and black stockings and high heels. I sat on the couch with my legs open and a porn film playing on the tele. My wife regularly wears stockings and suspenders out and about. Admittedly, she's had some encouragement from me, but she's now at the stage where she enjoys wearing them for the feeling of sexiness that they give her -- even secretly under trousers! They've also become part of her regular uniform for kinky events.

Part of the trick from my side has been to find my wife some reliable suspender belts (substantial, with six or more straps and metal clips) rather than the flimsy "just for the bedroom" types that are often found in adult stores. I'm assured by my wife that there's little as unsexy as worrying that a stocking is going to fall down while she's walking along or stretching.

Oddly, given the profusion of minimalist two or four strap belts amid the sexy lingerie, I reckon that the sexiness of the combination of stockings and suspender belt is multiplied by the number of straps in place. It's also much more fun with more straps to help put the stockings on, take them off gradually, and to ping them whilst they're fixed in place. The only issue is the extra time that it takes -- but that's part of the enjoyment, surely?

Oh... and with a six strap belt, the panties (if worn) go over the straps for practicality. It's only in lingerie model photoshoots that they get placed underneath for aesthetic reasons. I guess the models don't usually need to go to the bathroom in the middle of a shoot.

Great thread! I hope that more ladies can be encouraged to wear stockings and suspenders, not just because they look good, but also because they can feel great and be practical and classy (my wife's words!).

Scrubs should be banned. At least for shapely nurses. Nothing better than the tight white nurse dress. OK, a tight white nurse dress with stockings.

And we had our fair share of Benny and his angels.

To each their own. Personally, I find scrubs to be one of the sexiest things a woman can wear....much more alluring than lingerie.

I wear mine as part of my casual dress as well, not all stockings are sheer. In winter I wear cashmere and mohair stockings, and often in beautiful colours, far too jubilant to be 'sexy' but warm and comfortable and happy under casual skirts and in boots or shoes.

Lol, you're right, not all stockings are sheer...I suppose instead of saying casual wear I should have said jeans & t shirts...
...as I dont wear skirts or dresses on the regular, I tend not to include them when I think of casual...

Call me old fashioned I love them wear them often and have done most of my life. Best place I have found for quality and size range for me with 6 to 8 straps is etsy & esp Britain. I find there's more control for work in an 8 strap. Cheaper too only need to replace 1 leg @ a time
so no not out of fashion as such just often difficult to obtain in right sizing. Doesn't matter what your legs look like men can't help themselves they've just got touch them. Lo and l I'm a nurse too!
Or maybe us down under kiwi landers are more adventurous

I always wear stockings ... But usually the stay ups with the silicone bands at the top ...
I will never wear pantyhose. Yuk

Stacy, This makes me think of when I in my early 20's and driving truck. There was a truck stop I liked to stop at in Santa Fe Springs, Ca. The waitress that worked the counter was buxom red head and always wore an old school witness uniform, polyester with a zipper that ran down the front. It was just a little too tight and zipped just low enough so when she bent over to get the silverware from under the counter you could see down her ample cleavage and see the color of her dimi cup bra.
