So I understand that posting on here is free, and it is great to see so many people enjoy and read the stories. However, is the entire process free? Like, let's say 15 thousand people read your story, and rate it very high. Is it just for pride and recognition? I appreciate anyone's time or insight on this matter.

Literotica.com has been around for a long time and the internet has changed during those years. When Lit was conceived and launched there was nothing like the "pay story sites". Thus, it was simply a platform for those who wanted to write erotica to have a place to do so. For me, it's 100% a hobby and outlet for a bit of creative exploration. Therefore, my payment is the number of reads and the rating the story earns. But then, I'm not short on money either — so if one needs the extra income then it's great that such opportunities to earn some money is great.
