Mine doesn’t always work….

The Pump

I have posted elsewhere that I am a fan of the vacuum pump. Since I turned 70 (now 80) it has been a mainstay. Cannot take Viagra, etc., due to heart meds. I have posted my pump experiences a few times. Here are a couple of Lit references:

Good info. I use a pump now as a therapy tool to help rebuild tissue lost following prostate removal surgery. Before I moved to trying the use of injections the pump worked fine for Wife's wants but I just never was able to orgasm with it - I know that issues was more in my head than between my legs.

Yesterday upped the dose to .25mg and achieved *:nana::nana::nana::nana:1/2* - a fully workable member. :D:D

An hour after the injection I had lost most of the firmness so tried a porn-supported wank and boy-oh-boy was there ever a great increase in firmness in response. Am looking forward to taking this for a test drive with Wife. Hopefully I'll be able to achieve an orgasm while making love with her in time.

Still want to try one more increase just of the hell of it. :D

I have noticed a real improvement in my general mood since the first trip to the MD for training. Having a return of a more-or-less "natural feeling" erection may have lifted a bit of my depression. :rose:

I'm sure it does. :D
There isn't enough serious after care for post prostectomy patients in my opinion.
I'm talking emotional.

On a scale of *:nana:* to
*:nana::nana::nana::nana::nana:*

the first injection was a *:nana: + 1/2* done at the Dr. office setting the baseline for dosage @ .1ml

To find a "workable" dose I can try every 3 days with an increased dosage of .05ml in each step

second injection (today) of .15ml was *:nana::nana: + 1/2* - not enough to go in anywhere useful, but on the way.

It felt like I was welcoming an old friend home again. Not fully back, but more then I seen/felt in over 20 months.

There was a little muscle discomfort but my post before this one might explain why. After about 45 min the effect was noticeably diminishing.

Next try in several days.

I went through what you're going through years ago because of a radical prostatectomy with some complications. I tried the tri-mix and even low doses burned like hell, even thought I used a vacuum pump regularly.

My brother, who was in the same situation, had no trouble tolerating tri-mix without ever using a pump. He said could go week without an erection and have very little pain using it.

Since nothing seemed to work satisfactorily other than the external pump, which was a process that killed any spontaneity, my urologist recommended a surgical implant and implanted an AMS 700 device.

Btw, sticking needles in your cock under medical supervision is kinda groovy.:)

Yeah, urologists do that to make sure your penis doesn't fall off from an erection lasting - until it falls off.

That didn't happen to me. It just hurt like hell every time we tried it. My urologist was a woman. I accused her of being a mean dominatrix.

Edited to add: The pain felt like a wicked chemical burn though out my entire penis and lasted for a couple of hours and had nothing to do with the stick at the injection site. That was nothing.

Sometimes I wish I stuck with that, but every time I have to go through a TSA checkpoint, I am glad I didn't.

Still Learning

Sometimes I wish I stuck with that, but every time I have to go through a TSA checkpoint, I am glad I didn't.

I am still learning new things. My latest discovery (thanks to a lady play mate) is Coconut Oil as a lube. It has just the right consistency and lubricity to coax 'old friend' (love that term from previous poster) to robust and long life. And it works great for both genders. ;)

Works well as a seal when applied to the end of the tube. And applying some to the inside of the tube makes it easier for old friend to expand and rise with less friction. So far, no deleterious effect on the silicone constriction rings.

And has a fairly neutral taste... ;);)

You buy it in the cooking oil section of the grocery store (who would have thought...).

I have been using KY this way when I use my pump. Good to know there is a list expensive alternative.

I just wanted to add that my experience with the tri-mix didn't include any dancing bananas.

I'm sure it does.

What do you have in mind?

I prefer to think of us as a "team" and work to maintain the cock/brain connection. Then again I tend to view sexuality as mostly a brain based activity too.

Now STFU and let me fuck your mind.

Going through. I beat prostate cancer. It's gone. But I am doing chemotherapy for liver cancer now.

Yeah, fuck you, cancer.
Good luck. At the beginning of this year my husband was told he had prostate cancer. I talked him into the 45 radiation treatments. As far as we knew from his last doctor visit, yes an older woman, he no longer has the cancer. We are still waiting for his follow up visit at the end of the year. For several years and until he decides to try shots, an implant, or now maybe a pump he hasn't been able to keep an erection long enough for us to have sex. We have male friends and a loving husband. I'm doing well but it's him I want to have sex with again.
I hope it's okay to hear from a woman. It's amazing other men can share these important things.

Thank you. For years I've taken a spoon of virgin coconut oil morning and nite to help my dementia. We have an extra full large jar. If it starts disappearing I'll know where it went.
We really think it's helping my short term memory loss. After all look at what I remember? Our best friend seemed to get dementia about when I did. she was on the same meds. without coconut oil. Pat died a few months ago after being a vegetable nearly a year.
In fact my hubby only took the radiation because I need his help with my meds and other things. We need each other more now than ever.

Thanks guys for sharing.

I have posted before about the value of a penis pump. I had prostate treatment years ago, and the pump plus a variety of cock rings is just what the doctor ordered, so to speak. This is the one I use:

Be glad to share my experience with it.

Absolutely women are welcome. I started this thread several years ago for a place to discuss the much NOT-discussed issue of dicks that won't cooperate - in what ever form that may take: premature getting off, not getting up due to prostate cancer issues, not getting up due to non-prostate issues, not getting off, staying up too long, drip-drip, whatever...

They are a useful device indeed. Now that I'm using TriMix injections for my "penetration erection" I still use the pump without the ring just to do some rehabilitation stretching/filling so I lessen the risk of loss of tissue.

Not ready to give up on that fella yet ;)

Well my husband is outside and I just click everything to read. Things like this topic are rarely shared. After my husband found he had prostate cancer we realized it wasn't just old age keeping him from getting erect.
He's learned so much from his cancer doctors and he also Goggled it. So much there he wished he'd read about before.
Hia doctor wants him to wait till the end of the year to discuss shots and other things.
I sort of know how an implant works. We are nudists and met a man who let me pump his up.

So, there you go!!! I would have liked to see that.

I'm not ready for the implant, the injections are just fine for the time being.

All the best to you both as you work through the cancer thing.

:rose:

I just did the math.

I started using TriMix for self-injections in July to deal with ED following the removal of that darn old prostate. A 3ml script costs about $48.00 US and lasts frozen about a month. The dose I'm happy with is .35ml. If I use all the script it works out to about $5.00 per erection.

That requires having sex about every 3 days before I'm suppose to toss out the remaining TriMix. Given my wife's own health issues we are using the TriMix about twice a month. This is about $25.00 US per erection.

Sometimes I miss being 30 years old and having 10 (more-or-less) free erections a day.

(sigh)
