I haven't been there since 1958.
The whole area is fascinating
I think that you mean 1968, HP. You weren't even born in 1958.

Born to be alive.
Nice try, Sam.
I was 14 years old when I went (got taken) to Wookey Hole.
And very Glad to be Alive!
I never realized how young you were, HP!
Yes, and being alive is a hell of a lot better than the alternative.

Rest ?
Don't you mean:
"At . . . Ease"
[the cromwellian command was nice:
"Adopt a lazy posture".
Properly, I guess, since you had them at Attention. I was paying attention to the Parade part. Where I came from, Parade Rest was a command for a moving column to halt at ease. And we actually did use it in parades - I played bass drum in a number of marching bands.

But you gotta remember to lean forward a bit.
Not so hard, really. You've watched tattoos, HP; we can do it. (And thanks for the introduction to Top Secret Drum Corps.
I lean fairly far to the left myself...
Listing to port. All hands to the starboard rail!
Port out; Starboard home. The comfortable (and expensive) 19th Century way to travel to the Indian Empire.

The "Mr. Booze" was a strange one, seeing as "booza" was the ancient Egyptian word for millet beer about 6,000 years ago. Cf, ouza in Greek, and many other cognates.
I'll just have a glass of wine. Thank you!
