Democratic Primary Fucktussle!

Latest Democratic Party polling results as reported at the RealClearPolitics.com web-page - here are the national averages:

27.3% - Joe Biden - (Joe is far weaker than he was a month ago!)

15.0 - Kamala - (Still in a distant second-place.)

14.9 - Bernie - (He's already peaked!)

13.9 - Liz Warren - (She'd trying to get back into 3rd-place.)

5.3 - Mayor Pete - (Buttigieg's campaign has stalled.)

2.7 - Beto - (O'Rourke is going nowhere fast.)

2.1 - Cory Booker - (Also going nowhere fast.)

Representative Eric Swalwell has become the first Democratic Party presidential candidate to drop OUT of the 2020 race. That leaves sixteen other wannabees remaining!

Off topic, but Hell Yeah!

HEY, KENTUCKY! Badass lady pilot and retired Marine lieutenant colonel Amy McGrath has announced she's challenging "Cocaine" Mitch McConnell for the Senate in 2020. Grab your coffee and a box of tissues and watch this tearjerker campaign ad. In an appearance on MSNBC's Morning Joe earlier, McGrath talked about being a moderate, and how Kentucky has consistently been relegated to "shithole country" status under McConnell's decades in Congress.

JackLuis writes: "In an appearance on MSNBC's Morning Joe earlier, McGrath talked about being a moderate..."

Do you, by any chance, know Amy McGrath's position on abortion, Jack?

I only ask this because Kentucky, like Missouri & North Dakota, is a pro-life state! Last November, Missouri voters defeated incumbent Democratic Party U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill after she voted "no" on President Trump's nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court (Brett Kavanaugh), and North Dakota's conservative electorate did the exact same thing with incumbent Democrat U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp!

If Amy McGrath tells the voters of Kentucky that she would OPPOSE President Trump's pro-life U.S. Supreme Court nominees, then there's a very good chance that Kentucky's pro-life voters will continue to support U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, despite Amy's being a retired Marine lieutenant colonel (which would otherwise benefit her with conservative voters!)

And if Amy ISN'T an outspoken proponent of abortion rights, then there's NO WAY that Planned Parenthood will allow the Democratic Party to spend so much as a nickel on her campaign! Of course, I suppose it's entirely possible that she could try and HIDE her opinions on that volatile issue, but I'm guessing that she won't be able to get away with it for very long.

RubenR writes: "You are probably against the pro-abortion website of Google..."

If, as you claim, Google is a "pro-abortion website," then YES, I am definitely against them! And WHY is Google pro-abortion? Are they, like the Democratic Party, now owned & operated by Planned Parenthood? Are they forbidden from being pro-life?

Here's the thing, Ruben - if Amy McGrath informs the voters of Kentucky that she will OPPOSE President Trump's pro-life U.S. Supreme Court picks, then she won't defeat Mitch McConnell, pure & simple! Kentucky is a conservative, pro-life state! Now, if she was running for a U.S. Senate seat in ultra-liberal California or New York, such a position might benefit her candidacy (but NOT in Kentucky!)

And if Amy McGrath runs as a pro-life Democrat, Planned Parenthood will FORBID that party from funding her campaign! She's in a lose/lose situation either way! Also, she's challenging an existing U.S. Senate Majority Leader, which is a very powerful position for a Kentucky legislator to hold.

Scott Jennings recently summed-up the situation nicely with an article published in USA Today under the accurate title: "The Democratic Party is a mess!" He points to the enormous fracture building just beneath the surface between the old establishment Democrats (Pelosi & Biden, etc.) and the new breed of neo-socialists (Bernie & AOC, etc.) taking over that party, and the rapidly-growing split between the two groups!

The whole thing is most noticeable with the Democratic Party's current campaign for the 2020 presidential nomination, where in the recent opening-round of debates, California U.S. Senator Kamala Harris essentially called former Vice President Joe Biden a "racist" for opposing federally mandated busing, which she seemingly believes to be an extremely unpopular policy among people of all races & political parties. Debate viewers were left to believe that Harris (a little black girl who benefitted from being bussed across town) supported the federal mandates.

A few days later, however, Kamala backed away from federal mandated bussing and instead took much the same position as Joe Biden — that individual states and local school districts should make that decision.

Her flip-flop was identical to her Medicare for All flip-flop, where she said on the debate stage that she would eliminate all private insurance - but then the next day said no, she wouldn’t. Kamala appears to have been caught up in the moment, telling her liberal debate audience what they want to hear before her advisers swoop in with polling data showing the political reality of her positions. This is a dangerous trait in a president; the office frequently demands its occupants to make decisions that run afoul of popular passions.

Harris is the flavor of the month for liberals, but she is proving to be anything but steady in her policy pronouncements.

Her attacks on "Gropin' Joe" are not rooted in principle so much as they are showing that she can rhetorically bludgeon an old white male in front of a camera and not think twice about it. It's modern-day performance art in the current political environment.

The prospect of nominating an old white male for president continues to deeply divide the Democratic Party, and the radical young lefties (at least those not supporting Bernie Sanders) are desperate for someone — ANYONE — who can come in and destroy America’s elderly political patriarchy. Policy, principle, and experience aren't that important anymore — race, gender, and/or sexual orientation are - and Harris knows it. She whacked Biden so that Democrats could visualize her doing the same thing to Trump.

As Kamala hammers away at Grandpa Joe, her liberal cohorts in the House Democratic Conference are similarly raging against old white lady Nancy Pelosi. The House speaker recently gave an interview to the New York Times (who else could she whine to after getting owned by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in the showdown over the border supplemental?) in which she dismissed Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and three other freshmen Democratic women who criticized her for acquiescing to the Senate border funding bill. “All these people have is their public whatever and their Twitter world,” Pelosi said. “But they don’t have any following. They’re four people, and that’s how many votes they got.”

Insulting AOC’s “Twitter world” is comparable to a good “yo mama” joke in the school playground that is the modern Democratic Party. Predictably, AOC punched right back at Pelosi, calling the speaker’s legislative moves “a huge mistake.”

We are apparently a long ways away from February’s Rolling Stone cover showing Pelosi and the Ocasio-Cortez gang smiling for a story about “women shaping the future.” House Democrats have desperately tried to present a united front among the old guard leadership and the young radicals, but the charade came to a crashing end with Pelosi swatting them away like irrelevant but annoying gnats.

The divisions could deepen even further this week if billionaire impeachment activist Tom Steyer launches his own presidential campaign. Steyer has spent heavily of his own fortune in advertising and a petition drive to push ahead with impeachment proceedings, still an animating issue for young House Democrats & those liberal activists supporting them. The green billionaire's campaign would reinsert impeachment as a core issue in the party's primary, despite polls showing it to be a political loser for Democrats among the broader electorate.

Meanwhile, the Trump campaign is banking huge sums of money for the president's re-election effort - as he also scored his highest approval rating of his presidency (47 percent) in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, which shows great promise for Trump tagging his Democrat opponent as a “socialist” as a political winner, with some 54 percent of respondents “either supporting Trump against at least one named Democrat or at least saying they would consider backing him.

As Democrats push their presidential candidates further to the left, the American economy continues to boom while cracks continue to emerge in Pelosi’s makeshift socialist dam, with Trump’s chances for re-election getting better every day.

Dump, politics is performance art.

You should know that. No matter what they are trying to put over, it's all performance art. From Trumpski's "Lock 'er Up!" to AOC's "Concentration Camps" it is all PA.

In fact your RWNJ performance here on Lit is performance art. Let 's not be Potting the Kettle here and enjoy the play.

With a $19 million haul for second quarter, Elizabeth Warren cements ‘grassroots commitment’ in campaign

Sen. Elizabeth Warren released her fundraising numbers for the second quarter of 2019 Monday, claiming $19.1 million—a number that puts her in the top tier of the Democratic candidates for president and, alongside Sen. Bernie Sanders, in one of the two stronger positions of the field going forward.

Warren’s haul, which places her third so far among Democratic contenders behind South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieig and former Vice President Joe Biden, and just over Sanders, was unexpected, according to Washington Post reporter Michelle Ye Hee Lee.

If Liz had challenged Hillary in 2015, she might be president now!:)

JayCuck writes: '"LOL...to the left, every Republican is worst than the last."

This is true, Jay - the Democrats deeply hated George W. Bush and the entire Bush family, but not so much anymore. They'll only go on hating Trump until he's followed in office by another Republican president, at which point they'll hate the next guy even more!

Here's the latest Democratic Party polling numbers (of national averages), according to the folks at RealClearPolitics.com:

27.1% - Joe Biden - ("Gropin' Joe" is still the front-runner, but still losing support!)

15.3 - Bernie Sanders - (Bernie moves back up into 2nd-place!)

15.0 - Kamala Harris - (Kamala slips DOWN a notch, back into 3rd-place!)

13.7 - Elizabeth Warren - (Liz is stagnating in 4th-place!)

5.0 - Pete Buttigieg - (Mayor Pete continues to go nowhere fast!)

2.6 - Beto O'Rourke - (Beto is another candidate with no traction whatsoever!)

2.1 - Cory Boooker - (Cory hangs onto his 2.1% - at least he didn't lose anything!)

And these ABOVE SEVEN are the fortunate few - as the remaining 16 candidates have one-percent or less!

Michael Moore was right about Trump in 2016 — and he now has a dire warning for Democrats about 2020

In 2016, progressive activist and filmmaker Michael Moore predicted that Donald Trump would defeat Hillary Clinton and pull off an upset in some Rust Belt states that ordinarily go Democratic — including Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Sure enough, Trump won those states, achieving a victory in the Electoral College even though Clinton won the popular vote. And Moore is giving fellow liberals and progressives a stern warning for 2020: Trump’s base is every bit as excited now as it was in 2016.

Yep the RWNJ party is fired up and Dems have a basket full of deplorables to beat with... Uncle Joe? Not even maybe. :(

BotanyBoy writes: "RAW....LOL a discredited propaganda outlet....'But BUTT THE POPULAR VOTE!!!'"

I still remember that 2000 presidential election, BotanyBoy, when Vice President Al Gore lost to Texas Governor George W. Bush despite winning the popular vote. The liberals were outraged back then (surprise, surprise), angrily repeating slogans like: "Bush was selected, not elected!"

But then, four years later the Democrats got their chance to turn things around, nominating Massachusetts U.S. Senator John Kerry as their party's presidential candidate, and Kerry did an amazing job, winning 8,017,305 MORE votes than Al Gore had won four years earlier!

BUT... President Bush did an even MORE amazing job, winning 11,577,160 MORE votes than he'd won in 2000, defeating Kerry in BOTH the popular & electoral vote counts! If all of those Democratic Party BLUE STATES had passed laws back then awarding their electoral votes to the overall popular-vote winner then Bush would have CLEANED-UP! But this year, fifteen Hillary Clinton states DID pass such laws! Will this benefit President Trump in 2020? Stay tuned...

"EVERYONE WILL DIE"

.

Everyone dies anyway.

The question is, how much of Christian/Buddist/Hindu, etc Ethics do you apply in your own life? Not how much you want others to apply in theirs?

We can choose to decline gracefully, or die in a Mass atrocity!

Imagine the Surprise as Trump has to announces that the methane hydrates in the arctic have begun to erupt in such a volume that the Earth will be dead in two years?

A few million immigrants are the least of our worries.:)

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/ - (National polling averages as compiled daily by RealClearPolitics.com):

26.8% - Joe Biden - (Joe's campaign numbers continue to steadily weaken!)

15.2 - Elizabeth Warren - (Liz jumps from 4th-place into a tie for 2nd!)

15.2 - Bernie Sanders - (Bernie's numbers drop slightly!)

15.0 - Kamala Harris - (Kamala slips down into 4th-place!)

5.3 - Pete Buttigieg - (Despite raising huge amounts of money, Mayor Pete remains in single-digits!)

2.2 - "Beto" O'Rourke - (Beto continues to waste away!)

1.8 - Cory Booker - (New Jersey's senator Spartacus is ALSO growing weaker!)

Such a STAGNANT bunch of nobodies - but THIS is what the modern Democratic Party has become!

JackLuis writes: "Wait until round #2 and see if Joe picks up or loses more?"

On the positive side (for Joe Biden), Jack, his Democratic Party competition is JUST AWFUL! There's not a single candidate challenging him who's worth a damn - they'll all fighting incessantly over who's the furthest to the left. But on the negative side, this is Joe Biden they're challenging, and he's a singularly terrible front-runner!

pornochic writes: "With Joe Biden as the Democrat nominee, President Trump wins EVERY state."

KeithD responds: "Just go on believing that, little darlin'."

I think I know where Keith is going with this - the LAST time the Democrats ran a former vice-president against an incumbent Republican president was back in 1984, and back then Walter Mondale won his own home state of Minnesota & D.C. - I think that Joe Biden could also win his home state of Delaware & D.C.!

Just keeping my eye on the RealClearPolitics.com national averages in the Democratic Party's presidential polling.

27.3% - Joe Biden - "Gropin' Joe" continues to lead an extremely WEAK field of contenders!

16.3 - Elizabeth Warren - Liz is beginning to gain some momentum!

14.8 - Bernie Sanders - Poor Bernie continues to fade away!

14.3 - Kamala Harris - Like Bernie, Kamala's campaign is also beginning to lose steam!

6.0 - Pete Buttigieg - Mayor Pete remains stuck in single-digits.

2.5 - "Beto" O'Rourke - Robert Francis is going nowhere fast.

1.8 - Andrew Yang - Yang moves up into 7th-place as Cory Booker drops down into oblivion.

Once again, this is a party with NO CANDIDATE capable of successfully taking-on President Trump! Joe Biden is the Walter Mondale of 2020!

Thanks for the poll update Dump. The next debate will show us a lot about who has real staying power.

Joe is leading because Democrats love some tradition and, of course name recognition.

I think Liz will pull away after the dullards hear her plans.

Harris may become more shrill as she confronts the anti-establishment elements in the country.

Bernie will do well to support Liz as he can not get traction due to 'not being a Democrat'.

While the Fucktussle continues, Trump fades away!

Trump trails Biden, Warren and Sanders in new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump trails the top Democratic contenders in hypothetical matchups, according to the NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll’s first ballot tests of the 2020 general election.

Former Vice President Joe Biden leads the president by 9 points among registered voters, 51 percent to 42 percent — outside of the poll’s margin of error of plus-minus 3.5 percentage points.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is ahead of Trump by 7 points, 50 percent to 43 percent.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., holds a 5-point advantage, 48 percent to 43 percent.

And Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., is ahead by just 1 point, 45 percent to 44 percent — a jump ball.

You're welcome, Jack - and here's the latest from that same site - https://www.realclearpolitics.com/

27.8% - Joe Biden - ("Gropin' Joe" remains the leader of the Dems by double-digits!)

15.0 - Bernie Sanders - (Bernie jumps-up back into a 2nd-place tie!)

15.0 - Elizabeth Warren - (Liz drops a full percentage point overnight!)

13.4 - Kamala Harris - (Kamala ALSO drops a full percentage point - what happened?)

4.8 - Pete Buttigieg - (Mayor Pete's campaign also loses big overnight!)

2.6 - "Beto" O'Rourke - (Beto's stagnant campaign remains stuck in 6th-place!)

1.6 - Andrew Yang - (Yang holds on to 7th, ahead of the other 16-losers!)

So WHO will be the next Democratic Party candidate to drop out of the race? Any guesses?

The old white liberals who run the Democratic Party are happy to see the two old white guys leading the pack one again, according to today's RealClearPolitics.com national polling average!

28.4% - Joe Biden - "Gropin' Joe" is still holding onto his sizeable lead!

15.0 - Bernie Sanders - Old white socialist Bernie is once again alone in second-place!

14.6 - Elizabeth Warren - Meanwhile, Liz continues to grow weaker...

12.6 - Kamala Harris - Kamala ALSO continues to fade-away fast!

4.8 - Pete Buttigieg - Mayor Pete stagnates in the single digits.

2.8 - "Beto" O'Rourke - The loser of the 2018 Texas U.S. Senate race remains in 6th-place!

1.8 - Cory Booker - "Spartacus" makes his triumphant return into the top-seven!

Elizabeth Warren Has A Plan To Fix Wall Street And Kick Mitt Romney Square In The Money-Dick

While the other 26 Candidates rage about Trumpski's racisim, Liz has PLANS to solve problems!

I felt something like that come-to-Populist Jesus moment reading Warren's newly released plan to bring Wall Street to heel: It's about high finance and low motives, and succinctly explains, with a load of links to studies and background reading, why running the US government for the advantage of the financial sector is terrible for American people -- and for that matter, terrible for the US economy. Take 20 minutes to read it and you'll say, well shit, that's not right. That's not fair.

Fortunately, it can be fixed, by President Warren, or any Democrat who adopts Warren's plan. All we need to do is slay a few dragons.

What's Good For Wall Street Is Not Good For America

Warren isn't calling for the elimination of capital. But she also explains that running America for the sake of the financial sector is ultimately not healthy for anyone but the people extracting money from the economy:

Billionaire businessman Mark Cuban told CNBC in an interview airing today that President Trump would win a second-term if the election were held right now, indicating that he doesn't believe any of those polls suggesting that Biden (or any other Democrat candidates) are capable of defeating Trump!

As of today, I think he has the advantage. But there’s a long, long way to go and a lot can happen between now and then,” said Cuban, who’s been cagey about whether he might run for the White House himself.

Speaking with CNBC’s Deirdre Bosa, Cuban said Democrats are making a huge mistake in allowing Trump to continue driving the narrative.

When I think about why people voted for President Trump, I think they were smart actually in a lot of respects. They realized that when you vote for a traditional politician you get traditional political things. The people who voted for Donald Trump didn’t want the same old, same old,” Cuban said.

The left-leaning billionaire evaded direct questions regarding whether or not he has considered entering the 2020 presidential race, saying he’s “looking forward to the Mavs season,” referring to his ownership of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks. Back in 2016, Cuban endorsed Hillary Clinton for president.
