Can you resist?

I go over and over and over, I use prowriteaid, I have Word read it to me several times and I find something new every time, but when I send it off to publish, I let it go. My baby has grown up and is heading off to war.

I go over and over and over, ...

…and over, and over, and over, ad infinitum. I just finished the 20-zillionth read on Pt. 3 of the road trip sequel, and yet again found some misses. Next thing is to PDF it and wait until morning for the hopefully final read. The plan was to upload it like three weeks ago, but in working on Pt. 4 I discovered some continuity issues best fixed in Pt. 3. Frustrating, but would have been difficult to repair after-the-fact.

Once I've decided to submit it and it's in pending I let it go, unless it is something truly egregious. I line edit multiple times before I submit and after the second or third time I've got all the errors - and I don't want to get into the habit of constantly rewriting.

Finish it. Do the best you can. Then let it go.

Fly little story fly!
