They drop people who are not actively seeking employment, there is no time limit. This is a standard used, which is what makes it comparable as a snapshot in time.

Really? Check out your countries happiness poll. Check out how long the average American lives. Check out your current deficit and the history of how that deficit came to be.

Can you name names? Cus other than the stock market is a bit of a barometer it is usually lagging behind the stuff that affects normally human beings. There are more than one measurement of unemployment. Republicans are actually FAR more likely to fuck around with this than the the Left. We are fairly consistent on using U3. Republicans use U3 on themselves and U6 on the Left nealry 100% of the time. Its not a lie its just obvious misinformation.
