Whats best for you?

I used to shave, pretty well, but as guys know, knicking the scrotum is always a possibility - though some proprietary shavers say they are safe, they often dont seem to be wonderful shavers either.

Then one day my GF who waxes regularly persuaded me to accompany her.

JESUS it hurt, imho, but the result was impressive, and it lasted several weeks. I was told that if you keep it up it hurts less, which IS TRUE as the follicles? are weakened. Its also true that some grow at times and some dont recover so quick and some i think dont recover at all so its always lighter in amount.

I went back about once a month, then i discovered another way.

Women use epilators on their legs etc - looks like a shaver but it is actually a fast rotating tweezer device that grabs even very short hair and pulls it out. It hurts just like waxing, but smaller areas at a time are removed, but you can do it yourself. Depending on the make, [best ive found are waterproof rechargable braun make]

Drawbacks - still hurts but is easy to use/redo regularly [i do it weekly] when it becomes a lot less painful in a short time.

The cylinder can grab skin - Men have to stretch out and hold scrotum skin or it may be pulled in. Women may have more problem if they have big lips, but you can do it for your partner if you are careful for them.

It - itself - cannot cut you or make you bleed in my experience, but pulling the hair out can cause a follicle to bleed a bit occasionally or more likely leak a little 'serum.' It can feel in early days like it did cut you, but ive never seen it able to do that and im pretty sensitive.

Great tip, Never shower for 12 hours after, as the follicles are sensitive, and while the devices can be used in a bath wet, i suspect this isnt as good for some.

SO - what is your experience - would you try an epilator to be smooth as a babys bum at all times?

Laser removal will get rid of unwanted hair almost forever. Electrolysis will get rid of it forever.

Haven't had it done, so don't know about any of the ramifications if there are any. I have heard about women having it done. I'm sure some porn stars have had it done, both male and female.

Hair removal.

Electrolysis works forever, and on any hair but hurts and is expensive.

Laser has to be redone a few times if done professionally, amateur - more, the problem is that light has to pass through the skin and impact the hair, and to an extent this depends on fair skin and dark hair. Dark skinned people will get a lot poorer results, and fair hair also not as good.

I had laser treatment. Only a few grey hairs left which are easily dealt with by wax strips. Laser only works on dark hair and preferably lighter skin. If you are dark skinned it may not work for you.

Laser can sting on the scrotum 😢 possibly because the scrotum skin is darker.

The girl doing it wasn’t worried by my very hard erection (neither was I :) ), she said it made the job easier. It takes a number of treatments spaced about 6 weeks apart.

I’ve had my armpits done, too.

Sugaring. Less painful and harsh on the skin as the sugaring paste (sugar lemon juice and water) sticks to hair alone and not your skin... eventually hair will get thinner

I had a gf few years back. She got the laser removal done. She’s redhead light to medium ish skin. She said the laser worked good on her. She went few times. Said the last treatment was getting rid of the smaller fine hairs.

I almost bought this for my wife

I showed her the link, and she was very interested in it, but eventually we decided not to spend the money... yet. Eventually, I'm sure we'll buy it, and chances are good that both of us will try it out.

I did buy this for my wife when Amazon was running a sale. It took a few tries before she was comfortable using it, but she likes hers.

I think she's to a point of using it less than once a week, and if it keeps working the way it has, she might be down to once every 3-4 weeks before the end of the year.

Laser is good but not very effective on blonde hair which is a shame as it hurts a lot less. I had electrolysis which hurts like a bitch, took 4 sessions and doesn't grow back but you need to go back once a year or so for maintenance, occasionally a stray one will show up.

I have used a combination Emjoi epilators and shaving for years. Epilators are a bit painful at first...but no pain, no gain..Now I just need a weekly touch up grooming session once a week.

Wow

Wow, what is this rush to baldness! I love the fully massive never been trimmed Bush. As seen in 60s porn films. Hold the rasor!

I've used an epilator for years on everything except my forearms where I trim once a month. I never liked pubic hair and over the years kept expanding my hairless zone. My experience is the same as written above. The longer you use the epilator, the less sensitive is the reaction, the less hair grows back. Now, I do a touch up once a week.

Had my first brazillian yesterday - in my mid-50's LOL. I've had a few friends rave about how it feels afterwards, and truly it wasn't painful. Depending up the reviews, I'll likely keep it this way.

Laser Brazilian is highly recommend, on Groupon or Living social you can get 6 visits for a large area for less than $400, you go every 2 months, due to different hair growth cycles, 90% percent will be gone for good, followup visits will get the rest, takes 15 minutes visit almost no discomfort at all.

I shave with an electric, in the shower. And, yes, it's rated for showers! my sack, however, I do with a cream. not really satisfied with that but it works, for the most part. been thinking long and hard about electrolysis on the sack but haven't done it yet. Super squirley about the pain factor!

I have a chest and Brazilian done once a month. She does waxing for part of it, and sugaring for the rest. Sugaring actually works better as far as fewer ingrown hairs, and because I have nipple rings, she always sugars that area, teasing me that otherwise she could accidentally wax them off.
