Are we born with our kinks? Or do we develop them?

I believe we develop them. Most things with which we are born have, or once had, an evolutionary advantage. I cannot see many kinks or fetishes that would fall into that category.

The one exception, if you include it in kinks, may be homo- and bi- sexuality. There are reports of such behavior in nature.

Even those might be as much nurture as nature. I never even thought about girls sexually until after a wild fffm foursome in college. Since then I have become increasingly bisexual to the point where I now find women generally sexier than men.

I’ve always believed we develop them, we are influenced by factors around us. Those factors could be people, media of any kind from print to porn, just plain old curiosity even. I don’t believe we are born with any kind of sexual fetish or kink, I think we are blank slates, sexuality may be a different subject but kinks are definitely developed or learned
